How come the cdi ibought doesn't increase speed?? Help pls. Much appreciated

Hi everyone. Just wanna ask how come the racing cdi I bought doesn't increase my top speed? I bought it at ah boy for $60. Izzit I got cheated? It only remove the valve limiter so I can drag my gear more only. But the top speed it doesn't increase. If wan increase top speed muz change wad? Carburator? And fast throttle reali got use?? tHanks thanks

coz u not aerodynamic lah.. muz bend ur head behind e meter. Even better if u ride in superman position, juz change gears w/ ur left hand lor.

ya time to reach top speed got change cos now i can drag my gear more, but v fuel consuming.. my third gear already can hit 110+.. but my top only remains 142 lidat on straight road

hey man, firstly... a racing cdi at $60 dollars is quite cheap i must say, i once bought mine at 100+.... and just for your info... cdi doesnt technically increase speed from what i know, it just make the process of you reaching a optimum speed at a faster rate, like what u say yes it did make u easier to drag ur gear etc..... Its something like making the rpm w/o power cut...

About the mods on how to make ur bike faster, there's actually quite a range of stuff you could change... =) yeah from carb to engine to block and etc.. jus my 0.00000000000000000000002cents

Certain CDi need to change its pulser lenght in order to achieve top speed.

Hi, cdi doesn't increase top speed. It seems to remove the rev limiter, which is actually a bad thing! Rev limiter protects the engine from over-revving. So you've to control your rpm and make sure u don't enter the red zone.

Changing CDI itself does not increase your top speed. Need to do setting back . Change carb. Big bore and stuff then only you can see the in crease in top speed. Play with sprocket. tyre.

and also, if u keep dragging..and dragging, with stock engine, carb etc. only with a racing cdi, sooner or later yr engine's gonna blow. by then, its either u fly off, or if yr quick enuf to react by clutching in then yr partly safe. u seemed not to know much about yr bike, get to know yr bike well 1st, then mod. or else yr juz gonna be a carrot..gonna get chop.. chopp and chopp. :angel: Btw, ups for u for yr interest!

Not to that extreme..When you install a really good genuine performance CDi, always run the bike with short distance ride and check the colour of the plug. Make sure no sign of airfuel mixture too lean. Else it will kill of your piston or your plug.
