Weiz85, how's your gear lever rod? Have you change it? Or you still using my homemade DIY? I told you right? It can reach Ipoh and back to SG without a problem......hahaha...

Juz remind me of a fren who dropped the whole piece of gear-lever on the Highway during my 1st trip to Thailand....Luckily found it back.....

It was a wonderful wonderful trip filled with many many memories for me.

It is like a super buffet eaten in one going.

All sorts of riding all cramped into 3 days:

- Superlong NS riding,

- Scenic sunday riding with sunny blue sky along green country side at K Kangsar,

- Twisty mountain riding winding the mountains around Gerik,

- Superduper heavy downpour in the midst of sloping tight turns around the mountains that is enough to make me want to just park the bike to one side and stand there under the rain because the rain is unrideable,

- Super all-night long marathon riding under the stars,

- Desperate search just for a bed to sleep in late into the night, because it was Agong's birthday.

Silver: Your prediction almost came through. But it make the trip even more memorable.

- Riding along the new EW E8 highway

- Some nice "normal" trunk road riding R10.

- Plus riding the V-twins SV and once again, the marvellous Hornet.

 

Plus buffet of adventures when off-riding like pomelo (?spelling or is it pamela), massieurs, the unforgetable Spectrum's Nadia, a feisty old lady teaches Spectrum a lesson in "U think I dont know how to speak English is it?", an astrology lesson at 3 am at a petrol kiosk somewhere at Terranganu, an interesting resort suite at Dungun, seeing the ulam ("raw") dish, meeting new friends, so many more.

 

I a bit busy now (that's why had to go riding b4 this). So my pics and blogs will come up later and in parts.

 

To the new riding friends: SV650, Denden and Weiz85, it was a pleasure to ride with you guys. Always good to know riders who just love riding.

 

Forza: You are really a great help on many occasions during this trip.

 

Spectrum: Last time you make me riding over railway track. This time you make me cannot sleep and must ride all night long. I don't know what else to say ah.

 

The gerik ride is really a great route to ride and must do it at least once in your lifetime. What makes it really fun are the people that you go riding with.

soory to interupt but, i jus had no where to ask about the hornet 250. So here i am askin a question or two...

 

i am intrested in getting the 250 hornet as i think super4 is a little too big for me. So was wonderin how much is a 2nd hand one in the market rite now so i roughly have an idea. Also i asked some mechs, they say parts r hard to get it that true? Buut overall i think the bike looks n should perform well...

(that's before meeting the lady guard)

So need to top up coolant...

 

SV650 was real fast... in dashing down to the nearest petrol stn

and back with a bottle of Shell Coolant! THKS!

 

But Fonza problem is he just have to ride faster to

keep bike cool.. Haha ...

Really miss the fried kuay teow down there. Can't get anything close to that in Singapore.

 

And not to forget the number of glasses of fruit juice we gulp just to quench our thirst after a day of riding. We have our first taste of English speaking Ipoh local while ordering our drinks. This was re-confirmed when Alan helped an old lady to "cross" the road when she said "U think I dont know how to speak English is it?"
