They forgot to put the tube back. Small matter but does anyone know what it does? I just see a hanging tube and i just push it back in. Hope it isnt any critical connection.

The nut is miss here, anyone found it at their shop please return it to me. Maybe I can try my luck at some "五金店". Actually this a cosmetic nut which serve no purpose, wonder why they took it out. Well of cos there are chance that its already missing before or after I sent to the shop but I wash my bike pretty often and didnt notice it's miss before I ...

After washing my bike while I am drying her, I smell some petrol and found out that the fuel tube are not place properly. When I touch it, petrol start to ooz out. Wonder how I solve this, maybe I need my usual "Doc" to take a look. Guess I have to leave it to next week to settle this.

Hi Chong Chong,

After seeing the photos posted. I still find the shop to be unprofessional in their work. As for the patching up job, since it is included in the amount of money you are paying, I don’t see how it sum up for you to make the decision when they could make good with the touch up job on their own discretion for the later patching. It sound plain unethical when a customer never made known on a specific job details, the provider could just play ignorance about it. Nevertheless, this is one shop I would take note of if, I have any paint job in mind.

Cheers!

That tube is the breather tube.

About your fuel leakage from the petcock outlet, get it done! Excessive petrol leakage can cause 2 things, it'll affect your laquers or 2 .. your bike just might be a roasted chicken! ... if someone accidentally throws a light nearby :)

I reckon your fuel tube is kinda old and harden. All you need is to cut the end off and reinsert .. if the length allows. Do get your doc to verify though!

Sorry to hear your calamity! But at the end of every bitterness, sweetness shall follow! err revenge? Just kidding! Season Greetings!

Sorry to hear abt ur experience chong chong.

I dun think it is acceptable at all..... its the small things that differentiate a good shop from another.....

I was at Rosli yesterday and took out the instrumental panel to see the milegae button connection. while putting it back i dropped one of the four rubber washers......after searching for like forever.....i still can't find it.....

It is only after turning the place upside down from Rosli and son (i'm assuming), we manage to find it at some odd area of the shop.....

now thats what i call customer service and attention to detail.......

Hate it when mechanic dun put things back in place... and when u ask them.... they say...no problem one la.... just put back lor....

Hope ur bike get sorted soon.....

cheers

Anyone can advise a method/polish/place to remove stains caused by petrol leak on my engine block?

You could try 'Mama Lemon'. Work for me though or solvent based cleaning agent for car would do as well.

Oops! I must have misread thinking it was paintwork mentioned.

For engine block, please try brushing engine degreaser but, most would prefer Coca Cola. :cheeky:

Yep. The phosphoric acid in the Coca Cola will break down the petrol stain overnight but, please use the diet version so that your motorbike won't attract ants. :cheeky:

Yes we don't want any fat ants roaming our rides. :thumb:

Great idea. I might try that on a few stain spots on my bike.

I just recalled a scene from "DieHard" with a trail of fire following the Plane. Looks cool but dont think I want that to happen to me when I am riding. Raining non stop. Guess this have to wait a while before I can settle the leaky tube. Just knew a shop that sells all kinds of screws, pretty high chance to find the "perfect screw!

Hi nights, they didnt include the patching job in the package, 180 is without patching. What disappoint me is that they knew exactly what I wanted, quoted a price. When the result is worst then before, they blame it on not having a patching job done (which was not mentioned at all while asking for suitable touchup) that is necessary to get the "results" I want.

Just told my colleague about this and he suggest to go back to the shop for an explaination. But what I was thinking is even if they offer a "re touch up" with patching FOC, I may not want to engage their service anymore due to their quality of work done the previous time. I should just stick to my "family doc" for future case.

Indeed. A lack of display for their professionalism or they are just being oblivious? But, I seriously doubt they would offer a recompense job even if you were to head back to the shop to rationalize.

However, it would be a good opportunity to feedback to the shop on their end product having them to be more aware of a good job well done which, might benefit others. Given them a benefit of doubt, your experience could be a one out in ten jobs that ended up badly done.

Gush! their business is DAMN good man! So many enquiries??!! Arent what they did consider advertising at the PMO?

Apparently, the poster are registered as ‘Advertiser’ thus, it may seems to be appropriate for them to post in the ‘Product Mass Ordering’ thread. Of course, I am neither a moderator nor an administrator to comment much on this. However, it seem like an opportunity thread to stir up within the community for your dissatisfactory with their end product result and likelihood they would probably give you a proper explanation in writing as well.

Isaac's not kidding. If one day we meet and I'm riding my Shadow, I'll show you what he meant when petrol leakage affects the lacquer.

I scrubbed and scrubbed very hard with engine degreaser and a rag but it's not much help. The damage has already been done :weep:

Absolutely. Once the petrol touches the paint work, you have to wash it off with water fast or else, prolonging the time frame the stains seated on the paint work would just cause impeccable damage.
