For small cc and small HorsePowered Bikes like Wave, it is recommended to use a standard weight oil ending with 40, be semi syn or fully syn.

If you been messing around with oil long enough, you would more or less know what works best with your bike.

For me I ( wave 06 ), I been using the 10W40 oil from silkolene. Shiok.

The drain nut is a standard size 17. It is best if you were to buy a socket wrench set. Good brands like Stanley and Sellery are well worth the money. Manual states 700ml of engine oil per change.

Oil change for a wave is very simple... so when is the next DIY ?

i guess i will have to agree with u...

been using motul 5100 (15W50) for over a yr. but once i switch over to 10W40 oil from silkolene, the engine become smoother. and "lighter". i am not saying that motul 15W50 isn't good. its good, just that using 10W40 is better.

c'est la vie~
