so, i just turned 18 few months back and i'm planning to enroll for a 2B license

at CDC by end of November. There are a few questions i would like to ask..

1) How much money do you think i should put aside for the training? (like average)

2) How long do you think it takes to complete and pass the training? (like average)

3) Is it true that the instructor will always fail u for the first attempt at Prac 1?

Thanks

If you can meet their requirement. Why should they fail you? Most of us can't even complete the full prac1 for the first time (: Unless you have the gene of Valentino Rossi, you kana revoke, or you hiong bike before.

2B usually the most tough one because so much more practical than 2a and 2. plus cannot book muliple lessons unlike car. even u have money to throw also must wait for slot unless u damn lucky someone gave up their slots. All the best to your 2B, and remember, ride safe. :)

1) $600 sounds about reasonable. On average probably more, you would not believe the amount of repeats some people need to pass. :)

2) In terms of duration, with the current wait times to book for riding theory and practical exam at the end I believe 5 months to be the absolute minimum at CDC. Average? Depending on your ability, but the average at the moment is probably 7-8 months.

3) It's possible to pass first time. But very unlikely unless you have previous experience of riding a bike / scooter.

In my case I enrolled 31-May-10, had to repeat some of the early prac lessons, but I passed internal evaluation first time, RTT first time, lesson 5 (PDL) first time, and lessons 7 & 8 first time. As I am still waiting for DR theory, I believe I will be taking the test at some point in November. So even with 1st time pass - 6 months for me.

yeah, you won't believe how long it takes to just book BTT alone, freaking packed.

i was lucky enough to get a slot 1 week later, or else its 2 months ahead.

If you're good, no repeat lessons, naturally, it'll be cheaper.

If you plan well, do everything fast, 3 months will be enough for you to get your licence. ;)

To pass or not it depends on you. Rumours are rubbish if you dont experience it urself ;)

I think $600 should be ok. Least you super Buay Chai and need remedial....... Time wise, I took 6 months but thats because I overslept 1st TP test so pass only on second test. All these while just consistently go and relax........ Sure can make it one.

i paid slightly more than 700 for mine because i failied alot of lessons, not everyone can one time everything one... so dont be disheartened whenever you dont make it, tkae it as extra training on the bike... even though i failed my lesson many times, i manage to pass my tp one time...
