Hi guys, i was thinking of a joyride activity coming these school holidays for some student riders to participate. Although with cubs, slow speed. the benefits of touring is to enjoy th sight scene . So i wanna check out with some of us here to see whether we should organise a trip in convoys. Please vote sincerely and if there's a comment or a better spot, please name it . I would welcome your comments and willing to organise if there's a good response. Even if the's 5 people, i would still go. :cheer:

Maybe, for a start, we can go Desaru (100KM 1 way).

While many of us are seasoned tourers, there're also many new riders.

Moreover, a lot of us first time touring on a cub..including me!

So, going somewhere nearer for starters will be quite idea!

I'm not the organiser .. i'm just the CUB touring starter ..... Actually i planned this 19th May to go Malacca with my girlfriend on my wave 100cc for a sight seeing at the north south highway ...(imagine ??? NSH on 70km/h ??? how many pics can snap .. )

reason : My hospital leave is clearing by 25th May .. so i intend to relax my mind b4 i start overtime......

But i see there's a demand here in going to hatyai.... relax lah brudders ... get ur bike to condition to it by going somewhere nearby... I know the fuel consumption can make u excited(very economical). but we have to condition our engine for this kinda trip .... for some who wish to try .. can also ..please post some feedbacks on, journey's distance(km), travelling time (hours), accessibility (for Thailand, we need to buy extra insurance, food, petrol kiosk distance from one to another), Availability, bike shop nearby the route of advancement (in case tyre puncture or botak already..or emergency.)

All these we need to recce b4 any mass convoy can be organise .. I know wave.. i know honda .. good and long lasting engine .. but i dont trust tyres ... as tyres go hot, the tube might burst. I am using tubeless, but maybe some of us wish to come along, but using tube tyre .... and .. how about others like sparkZ, X1, etc ?

Basic tools ad items .... eg.

1)Do u know that ur main stand have 2 hole slots for u to put padlock ? so must prepare pad locks .... then ..

2)most Cubs have basket. so it's recommended to use that basket to carry tin containers to bring extra petrol.

3)Cubs are ostly 4 strokers.. so we only use engine oil .. no 2T.... so engine oil tends to dry up fast ... so must bring extra ...

4)Raincoats. I dunno for some, but for me iprefer to wear the long raincoat forward,as there is no parts that is protecting my groin from incoming rain.

5) most important of all .. bring tools that fit to ur bike parts .. (for those riding same model can share the load by bringing 1 tools for few similiar bikes .)

I have been thinking about riding up to haytai for a while, but every time long weekend, i will have other plans.... hence most likely this national day long weekend, I was thinking of riding up on the wave.

- journey distance is 860km one way

- travelling time is approx 14hrs-15hrs

- insurance no need, cos our insurance is covered up to 80km from the thai border, & hatyai is 60km from the thai border.

- food is available is most R&R along NSH

- 10 fuel stops (inclusive of Gelang Patah & Bt Kayu Hitam)

- Distance between fuel stops average is 80-120km

I have tyre repair kit, pump, spare tube & tools for changing tyre, also bring padlock/chain to lock your bike, a 5ltr petrol tin for spare petrol just in case & all necessary tools.
