Hi Guys ,

things i ask abt the trip from Mr Thai_R

1) log card(original preferred but clear copy is also accepted)

2) make sure log card bears ur name as owner if not need authorisation letter written by owner.

ex... I Mr Blah Blah(name and details) allow Mr Blak Blak(name and details) to use my bike(plate number etc etc) to travel to Thailand from Date to Date. etc etc....

U can even type in computer and then sign on ur own....hehehe

3) 2 copies of malaysian white card(1 for entry to MY from SG and other from TH to MY)

4) stop before the MY border on the left got shops. go there buy motor insurance and also thai white card. price depends on bike and travel time.

Pls take note...

Why four strokes when all you need is two?

I didn't see the plans yet.... but seriously, try to top up petrol every petrol stop u see along NS higway. Dun bring any extra petrol in cans....it's pretty dangerous.

16 hours realistic ? Why not.....I've did it in about 14hrs

Where u planning to stay ?

Also I think u guys going the day route....why ?

Stick to the night ride if possible.

Cheers !

what's wrong with night ride ?

I set off at 9pm and reached HDY at 11am.

I wish i had strength in numbers for my ride then.....but alas i was riding alone.

Make use of the multiple bikes to create brighter road visibility and bike visibility.

I advice everyone to wear at least jeans, long sleeves, gloves and fullface

My bro rode his cub in Thailand for over 10hrs travelling 700+km and got serious sunburn on his shoulders and face even with long sleeves and face mask :cheeky:

remember raincoat also :thumb:

Riding long distance can be tormenting so everyone pls get enough rest to prevent lost of concentration. And ride with safety distance for enough braking distance :thumb:

Be contented and you have the world... be greedy and you'll never be happy.

Guys ,

I heard from my friends that July and August will be raining season in Thailand ... Is it true? If yes, the rain will make the vision worse, will it be safe to ride in day rather then the night ? Will there be a crowd in the Thailand custom ?

Yes, rain coat is a must ! But sun block oso have to bring along rite ? (Joking)

Yes July and August-Sept is considered "rainy" season.

But since u won;t be riding around thailand, i dun see any problem.

Anyway, being a tropical climate, i dun see why it wouldn't rain on any given day be it season or not.

There is no such thing as a perfect ride, perfect weather, perfect condition.

It's up to u to make the most out of the situation and tackle the problem.

If u wanna take things the easy out, take a bus up or fly there.

No hard feelings.

Cheers !

Hi. Would like to know about Honda Wave highway performance. Does the bike feel or sound like its going to fall apart at top speed? What is the fastest highway speed you are comfortable without redlining? Do you need to stop often to rest the engine if going far on the NorthSouth Highway?

I saw in a previous thread that someone got top speed at 110kmh with his weight at 55kg. I'm 1.75m 90kg. If add another 20kg cargo (bags, tools, etc), any idea what top speed will be like?

I got the itch to ride and now looking at different bike models. Am convinced the Wave can run in the mud, just need to know how it fares at continuous high speed riding. Any comments? Thanks in advance.
