Consider your priorities carefully....

 

04-06 for looks.

09-10 for new riding experience.

 

What is the price difference between a new 08 and new 09 now? 5-6k?

 

ahahah , but serious if i have the money of cos i would get 09 , ALL THE REVIEW about it is excellent . but can enligten me wats the diff between 06 and 08 look ? almost similiar , i only know somehow 06 look more bigger/bulky?

best r1 ever....no problem found (at least till now)....

u will have a head ache buy 08.....better buy 06 than 08....

New in the 08 model:

 

1) YCCT fly by wire throttle

2) YCCI Variable intake length.

3) 4 valve/cylinder for better low end pickup

4) 6 pot sumitomo front calipers

5) Slipper clutch

heat is very hot. you'll burn your balls and its almost impossible to ride in shorts

fc my guess is about 15km/l??

anyway why change when your current bike is Race Replica liao? :lovestruck:

Lol.. sounds quite hot :S guess underseat exhaust usually have these kinda heat issues :(

 

Race Replica Getting in her age liao lol..athough its not giving me any problems but still got the "wtb a new bike" urge

The RR on my Fireblade represents "Race Replica"

Hmmm u tried a r108? 09 no doubt a gd bike :)

New in the 08 model:

my recommendations are

2008 buy cbr 08

2009 buy r1 09

 

the 07/08 have issues which are still outstanding

but 07/08 is a better poser bike compared to cbr08 :angel:

hmm.. personally i feel tat 06 model is the best looking model for underseat series of R1.. almost wanted to get the SP model.. after thinking of it.. why dun juz get a better technology when there is one and its new.. at least will be problem free for some time.. wat i meant was 08 model.. 09 is good to have,not a must..

afterall its still up to individual preference and financial ability.. dun go into debts becoz of a vehicle.. :cheeky:

I must say, riding the R1'09 really feels different from any other Inline 4 engine.

U have to ride it for urself to experience it.

 

After getting used to it. I don't think i would wanna ride an inline 4 engine(flat plane crankshaft).

imo, the heat issue is not tat bad. i love wearing shorts on short distance, cant realli feel the heat at my balls or leg. u will feel heat on your feet (the place where u wear shoe or slipper) so if u wear shoes on your ride u cannot realli feel anything. changing aftermarket exhuast and y pipe will further reduce the heat issue, can feel the diff as the cat is not there anymore. On stock exhuast pillion always complain hot hot hot, but after change of y pipe and end cans no more complains.:thumb:

How about before it was fully ran-in?

 

Hmmm... i dont remember much difference. I think its abt the same.

Surely the FC will be better before running in. haha

Haha thats the main selling point of r1 ma.. the X plane crank which makes it special

 

for me i'm more interested on a v4 cbr1000 ;)

wonder when will they make one...

 

I also interested in buying honda v4 but i doubt its coming out anytime soon.. dun think they are making a supersport v4 this 2 years but a VFR1200 v4 instead. more of a sport touring than superbike.
