Exhaust wise, unless the local distributor is willing to print out a manufacturer cert endorsed by them for you..This would probably require close connection with them..

 

Grounding reduce vibration?? I reckon so..

 

Grounding is done to basically conduct off the excessive current which is generated by the circuit thus prolonging the life of that component itself.

Hmm cost for pc3 + dyno I think 600+ or what ntot sure , usually done within few hours . And IMO , Akra is for performance not loud at all :X

Hi guys,

 

Need some advice and recommendations on the following:

 

1) Current situation:

i) Met an accident on my K7 750

ii) Extensive of damages: rear right fairing broken, right handle bar clip broken,brake

master pump leaking,right side fairings scratches,right

signal light broken.

 

2) Possible solutions:

a) Repair all parts and trade-in with a new ride (K9 1K) or,

b) Trade in with that condition.

*Bike under installment about $6K a bikeshop along serangoon rd*

*Budget for repairs: S$1.5K.*

 

3) Therefore,I seek the kind Gixxer-ians here for your kind assistance in giving me

tips on how to go about my predicament.

 

4) Any recommendations on my next cause of actions?

 

5) Any bikeshop to recommend fo repairs/trading-in of my current ride?

 

6) Current machine price of GSX-R 1K K9? Quoted 25k from asp and 23k from bp few

mths back.

 

7) How about reviews on K9 1K?

 

8) Anyone selling some of the parts listed above, in s/n 1 (ii), pls pm me.

they offer super high trade in.

my friend was offer 12k for a k6g6

i was offer 1.2k for coe ending wave. which is considered very high.

IMO if u can trade in break even ur loan n repairs, might as well change to K9.

 

Im currently using K9 for ur info. today is its day 11.

 

the cons

-So far no trouble yet, only once showed FI error, but after few min it jus gone off.

-k9 somehow sounds softer than mine R6 a dam lot. so if u r 1 looking for loud bike, prepare to spend on exhaust upgrade.

-k9 stock brakes IMO was toys for kids, they sux big time. i used back my 19rcs with hel lines now. the rear brake i din really upgrade except the hel lines, din really use rear at all for my normal riding.

 

now the pros:

-very Powerful machine yet easy to control i will say compared to my R6.

-Although i had not bring it to track i think it wont disappoint trackers if u r 1, it is oso street friendly for the ease to control its power.

-First gear redline at 168kph, reaching 299kph at 5th redline.

I just bought a k7 750 abt 1 week ago.. My temperature will hit the 110degrees mark at a traffic light.. Even at night i ride at SLE the temperature is 90+.. After riding then i just reach a traffic light junction, my fan is on and its 104 degrees.. Is it normal?? I've owned a R1 '99 n a k5 before but nvr encountered smth like this.. Is it normal for a high rev bike?? Earlier today, ard noon, my temp reached 120degrees when i reached carpark.. So guys.. Any similar experience??

BP quoted me 14k(stock) + $500 for aftermarket pipe. Good price for bike but for my current bike condition, i don't think i will fetch a lot. Therefore, i am looking to repair for the damages prior trading-in for a new bike.

Thanks Bro,i never had doubted the 'shiok-ness' of riding a Gixxer!Been a fan since i first lay my eyes on a GIxxer.It even grows upon the much anticipated K9!

 

Noted of the possible upgrades needed for a K9.FI had always been a 'eye-sore', but not a major problem as i believe most Gixxer will have to go thru that phase too.

 

May i know how much you were quoted and where you got your ride from?Got recommendations?

if it were me...

 

master pump buy 2nd hand...

damaged fairings jus get race fairngs cos original fairings are super ex!!!

spray paint original colours den trade in for a k9 1000!!!

 

am riding one now...

so far its a superb bike i can say...

power is good, handling even better.

and its easy on rookie riders too...

 

wat i hate about da bike is... da pipes...

will be changing to a single system soon...

hehehe...

 

btw...

got it for about $25K+ onthe road...

 

will update my reviews once i've tracked da bike...
