damaged fairings jus get race fairngs cos original fairings are super ex!!!

spray paint original colours den trade in for a k9 1000!!!

 

am riding one now...

so far its a superb bike i can say...

power is good, handling even better.

and its easy on rookie riders too...

 

wat i hate about da bike is... da pipes...

will be changing to a single system soon...

hehehe...

 

btw...

got it for about $25K+ onthe road...

 

will update my reviews once i've tracked da bike...

Bout the pipes, i believe its due to the high requirement meted out to reduce CO2 emissions in Europe, i think. Anyways, it could easily replaced with pleathora of aftermarket pipes.

 

Which shop u bought your ride may i ask?i believe the price have not dipped till now, nearing end 2009.

 

Contemplating to wait for the 2010 1k, but i think it will take a long time before it reaches our shores.

BP quoted me 14k(stock) + $500 for aftermarket pipe. Good price for bike but for my current bike condition, i don't think i will fetch a lot. Therefore, i am looking to repair for the damages prior trading-in for a new bike.

 

 

 

 

Thanks Bro,i never had doubted the 'shiok-ness' of riding a Gixxer!Been a fan since i first lay my eyes on a GIxxer.It even grows upon the much anticipated K9!

 

Noted of the possible upgrades needed for a K9.FI had always been a 'eye-sore', but not a major problem as i believe most Gixxer will have to go thru that phase too.

 

May i know how much you were quoted and where you got your ride from?Got recommendations?

bought it from southern..

price its more or less still da same although k10 is already out.

from wat i heard da k10 shud be reaching here ard dec/jan...

 

personally i wouldnt take da k10 cos its gonna be more expensive.

da only changes to da k10 is da colour scheme other than that everything is da same...

it jus like losing power. sum tim similar to when u r running out of fuel.

yeah, i read the gixxer forum. and they sae might b tps.

not too sure about it. goin down to guan hoe lata. luckily the prob happen when im turning in to school.

 

ani 1 noe wats the opening hours?

as their website nvr state wat time does the autobay branch opens.

did a google search oso cant find.

 

btw "sd" means steering damper or battery solenoid or speed and rpm meter.

so mus b either 1 is faulty.

 

dunnoe y i so suay.

My colleague's one just loses power suddenly without any indication of any error and the power will come back on suddenly..

 

He read thru gixxer.com and found that the O2 sensor to be the culprit..

same prob again. RECTIFIER!!!

but this time they change a new batt and rect for me.

zzzz, kinda sian. btw towing was free if u ask them to tow.

The latest news is 08 and above bikes is having some problems for the full system street legal exhaust due to strict LTA compliants. The last few days I have heard 1 cbr 08 & 1 yamaha 09 fail exhaust inspection for the arrow full system street legal exhaust due to having no catalytic converter on the exhaust. Not too sure about other makes however biketech will get Arrow to properly do up a street legal full system exhaust just for singapore side. which means... no more racing headers!
