yep exactly K refers to production year example k1(2001),L1(2011)

Put your bike in dealer mode to check the error code. If only showing C00, ride the bike untill FI comes out and read the code.

Unless you track, I think X-TRE is not necessary. The stock lower gear maps are meant to make the bike more ridable on city streets.

haha. i know man but then ive tried with and without xtre and damn i would love to get one. I've heard that there is a way to refresh the ecu now though, which makes getting an xtre redundant. anyone heard of it?

Yes, for Suzuki bikes. But problem is getting the "right" settings. And flashing ECU is not reversible, unless there is a way to backup the settings.
