@maddog   at least confirm that bike is from PML and not a PI..post 12695 i already mentioned the benefit of PML bike   the rest of the check is just like buying another 2nd hand bike..oh yeah make

The show has nothing much, just more blood and gore, weren't too strong on plot wise..

 

And the BMW was totally smashed :cry: in like 20mins to half hr into the show..

hi guys,

 

read upon this thread by chance and hopefully all u can advise me on what should i look out for when collecting my bike next week...

 

just bought a used GS650 from Loois motor, first time owning a BMW bike and have heard real scary stories about how the maintenance and repair gonna drain you dry but the dream of owning one still got over everything and finally took the plunge and acquired it!

 

do contact me if there is any meetup would love to learn more about it...btw are there any forums for BMW riders in SG??or do u guys just hang ard here..

Yo guys, im new here and i was contemplating abt getting the new GS 1200. My d*&k is getting itchy every time i see the big grunt around. Showed my soon-to-be-fiancee the GS and all she can do is to drop her jaw..salivating.. at the bike. So i guess it is ok to get it..though this means i have to eat a little bit of my marriage savings!! The thing is..any alternative to the GS 1200? Any parallel import?

haha! thanks but...no thanks! would really like a big grunt kinda bike (e.g african twin etc) im a bit tall so the ergonomics of these kind of bikes appeal to me. Im riding my super 4 now. every now and then my shoulders can hurt like hell! after reading all these posts abt beemer bikes..i guess its a love/hate relationship. Dang, i dont even know for how long the premium for a bmw bike is! 4 years? 5 years? 6 years??

is there any pro-BMW workshops other than PMLs?

 

I went through this thread some time back and found these few workshops recommended by fellow beemer owners here:

 

- Looi's

- Stamford (AMK)

- Combine (Sin Ming)

- Perfection (Eunos)

 

I visited them to check out their workshops and finally settled for Perfection. The boss Alan seems knowledgeable about the beemer, and he has a nice clean workshop. Sent my R1100RT there for a thorough servicing after getting the bike, was happy with the service and the price. He does parallel imports of bmws as well, the last time I was there I saw a HP2 and a GS1200 in his shop.

Shortest GS rider I know is a guy about 1.6m; but stout fella. Used to ride a 1150GS, now a 1200 GS.

1.6m riding a GS... not challenging enough, should look at Alan of Perfection motor, I think he is about 1.6m and he rides a HP2...

 

Is he good? I think he is very good, so far, no one can tune my Ah Pek R100R to idle at 500rpm on just one start in the morning...

Hi there.. im riding a F650GS. Relatively new to the bike.. bought it early this year. Just few days ago.. after starting my bike.. i saw petrol leaking from my bike. Found the source of the leak after removing the seat. Petrol was pooling on the big screw top. Cleared the the mess and observed that petrol is seeping out from the carbon/fibreblass screw top.. due to very fine cracks. Anyone here had similar encounters with their beemers.. heeeeeeeeeeeeeelp :cheeky:
