Hey BMW adventurers. Saw this program on Starhub channel 73 over the weekend. A bunch of GS riding from Alaska to most southern south America. The showed episode 2 and i think episode 3 is airing tom. Its the National Geo Adventure channel. I recorded ep 2 and planning to record the whole range. Stunning landscape and rough bikers.

Yup, that's the one. Sorry, didn't know it was a repeat. Just got my cable tv back after a year without it. Love the alaskan scenery. Hope I will be able to make a ride like that sometime. Got some great bike shows on channel 72 & 73.

Seems like no other active place to post about BMW bikes other than here in this forum.

Test rode the F800ST yesterday. It was very nice to ride. Power is so linear and everywhere. Very stable and easy to ride. Very predictable and confidence inspiring when cornering. Pity the sports panniers are very small when not expanded, would be better if it is a bit longer.

Except for the seat height, which is a challenge for a vertically challenged person like me, it is almost a perfect bike.

Anyone here bought this bike?

1992: Suzuki GN125

1995: Suzuki Intruder 400

2000: BMW R1100R

2006: Harley Davidson Sportster 1200 Low

2008: BMW F800ST

2011: BMW R1200R Classic (still riding)

2015: Harley Davidson Low Rider

Yeah, went through the site weeks ago. Just want to know if any body here has it.

Planning to get it but the price really stretches my budget to the limit. It is probably the most expensive sub-litre bike here. If only PM would bring in the R1200R....

Hiya, the F800St had good reviews about it. Were the panniers big enuff to take a full lid? Youwill appreciate the small panniers for city riding, I supposed. There is one around my building area, a blue one.

I also reckon that you cna get PML to bring in the R1200R if you want. Just read BIKE, that machine was reviewed to be better than the R1200GS! Wow!

The R1150R is one of the most under-rated machines in the R1150 series. check out http://www.r1150r.net

The 2008 GS range will have the R1200R's powerplant, delivery starting in Feb in Europe. PML needs min 2 to 5 orders to bring a new model in, else not worth the homologation cost they say.

The years thunder by.

The drams of youth grow dim where they lie caked in dust on the shelves of patience.

Before we know it, the tomb is sealed.

Where, then, lies the answer?

In choice. Which shall it be: bankruptcy of purse or bankruptcy of life?

The F800ST looks good from all its reviews and from what I see in the showroom and others test riding it.

Sad to say that it only comes in 2 colours that don't appeal to me. Hope to see it come in the bright red or yellow colours like the F800S one day.

Perhaps after a few years, I may be tempted to pick up a used F800ST. When that happens, I'll have to bid my trusty F650GS farewell.

He who hesitates is lost!
