hi guys.Newbie beemer here.. just wondering what are the ways to link up your charging devices(GPS,iphone) via the powerlet socket found under your seat and below your meter instrutments. Looking at ways that is managed by the CANBUS system where when your bike is turn off, no voltage is passing through your charging wires.

Cheers.

I'm 1.72m tall and riding a GSA. Using GS seat which is 3 inches shorter than the original. Tip-toe both legs. It will take you a bit to get used to it but after 1-2 months you'll be fine. Not a bad bike. Do not expect any huge differences from the Japanese bikes though.

Cheers and enjoy.

You can hook up a normal 12v socket directly to your battery. This way, u will bypass the CANBUS.

i'm actually thinking of ways to make use of the CANBUS actually..

this way it won't sap the batteries when bike is not running.

Remember dont buy liquid cool gs.

Why not? It's not their first water-cooled bike; in fact, it will one of their last air-cooled ones. I think left only HP2.

if i recall correctly, by connecting to the canbus, any thing drawing more power than a certain voltage, it will automatically cuts power to the thing.

There is a spare lead around the headlight area for powering the GPS. You will need to buy the connecting wire to use the lead. It will power on ignition so that the device will not drain your batt when ignition is off.

Cheers
