@maddog   at least confirm that bike is from PML and not a PI..post 12695 i already mentioned the benefit of PML bike   the rest of the check is just like buying another 2nd hand bike..oh yeah make

Brake pad, can go motoworld to change SBS.. not costly and braking power is there.

Last I saw at PML R1200GS adventure machine price is $41K. No price for the GS though. Most likely the new model coming in soon..

Hi guys, got a worn gasket on the left cylinder of my 1150GS. It is the one between the block and the crank case. Anyone know how much to get it replaced. It should be a slightly big project involving the removal of the whole left hand block.

 

It is weeping some oil. But it is not leaking during parking. There is no oil stain on floor.

91-92: 84 Yam LC125

Hi,

 

Are there any K1300S owners here who can help me out? I am thinking of getting this as my first beemer bike. I am looking at second hand market as I don't want my hobby to depreciate too drastically. I am fine with servicing costs, but I am worried about unforeseen break downs due to reliability issues (those cost more and spoils the ownership experience). Through looking up the net and articles on RIDE magazine, I found the following reported errors to scare me off buying:

 

1) engine dies when hot (riding in city traffic)

2) drive shaft failure

3) bike can't start when switch gear gets left out in the sun

4) gearbox failure

5) electrical faults

 

Can I ask if any owners have experienced such issues and also if you think that the bike is reliable or am I just scaring myself. Thanks for your help and I do hope to join your community one day.

No go!!! For GSA wif side panniers to woodlands checkpoint, you will regret.

Only go in via tus checkpoint.

Just nice can go through. But very small percent for error else you may scratch your panniers..heee
