Hi guys, my 10k serving is ard the corner. Can anyone tell me the differences between mineral oil and full synthetic EO in terms of performance or heat reduction etc? My ride is a 1200 gs air cool.

 

My mech said mineral oil good enough but some frds said smoother if using full synthetic.

hmm.never heard that brand. but anyways the cost and where to fix?other than that we have metzeler tourance and michellein. Among these tires which is hard wearing and priced to buy?

I heard current GS is using semi. Thats what was pour into the engine during the 1k free service by PML.. But they are using 15,40 grade oil.. Thou recommended 20,50 grade oil.

Your are right, I did call them and they quoted me S$39 (incl GST). I fund it ridiculous. Do you know any shop outside PML that sells?

Btw, let me know when you are doing another servicing including valve clearance? I just bought a 1150GS and planning to do it on my next oil change.

I didn't have a good experience with them despite all the talks about them in the forum. The mechanic/ boss (who rides a Versys I think) who attended to me wasn't too friendly when I was enquiring about the crashbar. When I wanted to do servicing, he asked about the history of the bike to which I replied that previous owner did everything with PML. He simply replied that I should go back to PML then and I left thereafter.
