Any F800R riders here? the street bike version, it seems like i have not even seen one OTR in my 4 years of riding

 

might be planning to join the BMW family...

 

my dad seems to prefer the F800R but im leaning towards the F800GS or 700GS as they're more popular...

 

anyone got advice for me?

Sit on both bikes both you and dad, see which has better geometries and posture. The GS might be a tat tall for your dad though, maybe he can't stretched as much

Can I check if I can use a Fully Synthetic Engine oil for my 10k servicing? I'm riding a R1200GS 2012 model (Air-cool). Mech say can but not necessary. Internet some say better, some say it is best to use semi-synthetic. Confused ....

I'm already using semi synthetic oil. I also want to know if it's good to go on the fully synthetic oil.

Rumor has it that the boxers has a long break in period. Numbers are roughly 20000km before the rings are properly bedded. For the F7/8s the numbers are said to be shorter about 10000km. So some say if you switch to full syn too early it doesn't break in enough and given enough time, it might "drink" your full synthetic. I have no idea why bmw or rotax designed the engines like that. Some ppl don't care, some ppl care. Honestly don't shoot me for this but these has been what I can gathered after reading so many threads on full synthetic oil in our GS haha. I'm just a messenger so take it with a pinch of salts.

1. Lowered SARGEANT seat (Front and Back) used only for a while. Bought @ 800+++ (Can check in the website) I am willing to let someone benefit from my sale. Price I letting Go $550.00 (FIXED)

 

2. H&B Universal rack for GSA - Letting go for $100.00 only

Hi guys,

 

I am letting go the following items:

 

i) 01 Black Bagster Tank Bra for GSA

I bought this about 4 months back from (where else) Motoworld. Bought at $150, letting go at $100.

I'm riding a 2012 GSA, so I'm not sure which years would fit this one. Be sure that it'll fit your ride before committing.

 

ii) 01 K&N Air Filter (BM-1204)

This one should fit most BMW models, esp boxers.

Brand new in box. Bought extra for my friend, but he no longer wants it. I'm not sure about market price, but I'm letting go at $75.

Again, be sure it fits your ride before committing.

Oh, and I'm firm on the prices. Would wanna use the cash on other blings.

Recently got myself a K1600GT. Was surfing the net and saw a couple of accessories that I like.

My question is, whether there are any shops here sells accessories for this bike? Or I should just buy it online from overseas?

good thing is abs working. stereo was swapped out by bike shop cos old unit not working. handlebar controls for stereo not compatible so not working.

 

i saw the bike. looks good.
