I've sold my bike, so i'm doing a de-kit sale.

 

This is the X-tra Low seat for the Oil Cooled GSs. It's great for short riders like myself (I'm 1.65m). It puts me closer to the floor and gives me greater confidence in handling the bike. Do note that it's even lower than the BMW Low seat, by about 2cm.

 

Condition is 9/10. Bike was always covered and I look after the equipment religiously.

 

Brand new it's going for about $590. I'm asking $390 for this.

Make sure that the Shorai battery is not discharged to below 7.5V. Once it hits that level, battery is dead and not recoverable, according to internet wisdom. BMW bikes supposed to have the worse parasitic drain of all bikes; plus we have the IU to contend with.

 

So far the best value I had used is the acid filled at the start Yuasa. The Yuasa GEL sealed is great but quite spendy. Shorai is new technology and not cheap; and you will see that the internet opinions on it are divided.

NICE. anyway, i got a few question to ask

1) when i start my bike. the bike will die off after 10 to 20 seconds. is it the idling too low?

2) when stopping at junction, in neutral gear, it will like jerk or going to die off but never die off once in a while.

did you encounter this kind of issues?

Lucky me I never had this problem although there were couple times I let my bike cruise at neutral and when at a full stop at the junction the engine ceased. Just had to reignite.

 

Perhaps it's a case of filthy fuel filter or clogged injectors? Check your plugs and air filter too.

Hi Guys!

My 1200GS is just a month old, and someone just decided to bang my boxer engine and run away..

Anyone knows of a reputable metal restoration and painting? I would think that would cost less than changing this part. (it's just cosmetic IMO)

And all this had to happen the day before I planned to get my crash bar installed..
