Thank, please share with us when you got your F700GS.

My speed chasing era already over, prefer torque over top speed.

Agreed with you, F800GS has more aggressive outlook as compare to F700GS.

Just got the bike and i was pleasantly surprised that the bike is so easy to handle. Took it to 99turns at south buona vista.

Seat height was ok. Need not tip toe although i think im slighly below 1.7 m.

Engine is smooth. Pretty torquey but cant compare to the jap bikes. Honestly, cannot and should not Compare to my previous 1100s.

Overall, a very civillised yet fun ride with that all important ABS.

Viewed one F800GS today.

Standard 880mm seat, too tall for me.

Only can tip toe on one side, doens't feel confident.

Anyone know how much it cost to get a lower seat?

Hi all, contemplating on whether to get a F800GS, but upon googling...looks like there are tons of problems with it in terms of reliability

Understand that people usually post when there are issues with their bike. Anyone who is riding one care to share your views on the bike?

Thanks!

Owned the f8 2013 for more than a year now. I loved it but it's not perfect. A lot of first time BMW owners expect the bike to be 110% perfect which is not the case. Maintenance wise so far so good but OEM original parts can be expensive (90++ for fork seal??) lol. Mine had botchy fork seal which leaked after 5000km and my original battery died just at 10000km. Apart from that, it's great for my tall lanky frame.

Problems for 2013: battery that is sulfidating, handle bar switch that gets sticky or stuck, leaky fork seals. That's all I'm familiar with, gathering whatever I know from my experienced and other owners.

The older models have problems too: coil having life span shorter than expected, water pump hoses coming loose, rear shock bolt bending, cracked fuel tank, idling issues.

Also generally, some users find the front fork to be too soft for a adventure bike and the headlights last like 12000km max haha.

Viewed and test rode a F800R today.

With 800mm seat height, i can touch the floor with my both feet and felt more confident during my short ride.

I still like the look of F800GS, not sure if the low seat (from 880mm lower to 850mm) offers any help?

Anyone uses low seat on F800GS?

I think abit difficult , Touratech SG price is competitive , unless self carry back and minus oversea tax and bypass gst.

Touratech oversea will not ship to SG .

I've a GS1200 adventure 2013 and am looking to replace the rear passenger seat with a luggage rack. I tried the Wunderlich on but it wouldnt fit with the stock GS rear box rack. Does anyone know if the Touratech one will fit?

Thanks
