Not in the box. Use a good bicycle chain chain it to your handle bar. Your normal side lock for chin strap will be cut off.

As recommended, invest in a good bicycle lock or two.

I've been locking my FF to my bike for years w/o any issues.

Nowadays FF are relatively cheap,

I do not recommend locking a Shoei, Arai, AGV...etc to the bike. Too attractive, and those f8cktarts thieves w/o assholes will be too tempted to leave it alone, due to their retarded brains.

i dun lock it at the D-ring, cos all they have to do is cut that part off, go helmet shops along jlb besar and repair it.

carry it around with me, safer and i look cool. gotta make sure the helmet is the lighter kind. my 1.6kg is fine for me.

February 2011 - March 2012 = Phantom TA 200

March 2012 - August 2013 = Suzuki Impulse 400

you mean hepco & becker? still uses a key lock system...

once they repair the D ring i believe it not that strong as original.

if they are that desperate to cut it, i dont think they really bother if its that strong or not. :cheeky:

to each their own, i find it very troublesome. everywhere you go, need to find place to put the helmet. if the foodcourt you go very packed, want to take extra seat to put helmet also paiseh.

If you lock it to your bike, you'll constantly worry about it being stolen and won't enjoy whatever you are doing cos half your mind is worrying. Haha at least that is me la...money lost is one thing...the other problem is without helmet you hafta leave your bike there and take some other transport to and fro to get a spare helmet...

What kind of bicycle lock do you use to chain your helmet to the handlebars? Surely not the flimsy wire kind right? Where can I get a good one?

This will be good enough. In fact, any locks of a respectable brand will be ok.

You should be able to get good quality bicycle locks from Handifix or any DIY stores.

For the last time, we are not looking for 100% theft proof stuff, just theft deterrent which is better than nothing.

I usually lock the helmet on the bike with the helmet bag on IF it's parked in an area where I don't think it's likely to be stolen. The helmet is less likely to be stolen in the underground car park of an office building than in an open air HDB car park.

Here's what I do normally.

Have those cable type bicycle cable (not chains, too heavy and clumbersome) with combination lock.

When I don't use it, I'd roll it and store in my passenger seat.

If I am going for meetings where it won't be easy to carry a big helmet in tow, I'd slid the cable into the FF and right into the handlebar or any part of the bike frame.

Nope, no helmet bag. The more you hide things, the more these "itchy hands" wanna uncover and see what's underneath.

Let it out in the open.

So far so good.

Of course, like mentioned, it is just a deterrent and does nothing else cos the lock can be broken fairly easily too albeit it'll take like 10 mins to do so and not worth a try for potential thiefs.
