Hi, does anyone know where can i go to get a extra LED brake light installed? Thanks!

The easiest way is to get those bicycle red LED light.

If you are not technically gifted, you can wire it to your brake light so they will light up simultaneously. You can take it one step further by adding a switch at the dashboard so that you can switch it to blinking mode. Very useful when you are the leading a group along NSH even in the day.

And if you're braking and indicating a turn, the LEDs will alternate

Something to share here. I was recently stopped by LTA Roving Bike for my exhaust. Was then directed to STA to do an inspection.

The inspection found the following irregularities from LTA Regulations:

1) Additional Lamps (LED strips connected to brake light)

2) LED Brake Light Bulb (Yes, bulb. The officer said it is not approved)

3) Number Plate Lamps.

The regulations are really knnccb, so is the STA inspection.

Intent to appeal though. Waiting for the offence letter to come.

I guess will buoycott STA for any inspection. Sibei strict.

1 & 3 definately illegal. u should DC them b4 going inspection. 2 not sure, depends how it look like.

Accident can happen anytime, anywhere.

However ask yourself, do you want to fall at 120km/h or 60km/h?

The thing about LTA is that they go strictly "by the book", even if things outside the book enhances safety or does not impair safety.

What does this say about local stat boards? Easy.

They're stupid and inflexible. Period. And the management and workers? Also the same.

All go there, follow the book, no need to think, no innovation, just go by motion.

Tio bo, LTA?

A guy name YCTradingSG. Been using this for abt 1.5 years now. Haven't been stopped by TP or LTA yet so far, but coming up to my first inspection soon. So I'll find out whether I can pass or not.

Probably an LED strip type of lamp. It's brighter than the stock lamp.

Makes more sense, but the numbnut robots at LTA will probably just go by the book and say a bulb is the "correct" type to use.

See what working for the Gahmen does to you in the long run. ;)

I just called LTA and the reply regarding LED signal or brake light = NO NO NO unless come with stock.

As simple as that.

It's true that your inspection depends on the person whether he wants to close 1 eyes anot.

Don't blame on STA / Vicom when they fail you because they are also paid workers enforcing the regulations.

You never know when is their supervisors watching them when they are doing inspection. They might lose their rice bowl just because they close 1 eyes for you.

Yamaha RXK (2003-2004)(FB****?)

Aprilia RS125 (2004-2004)(FM2834H)

Honda SP150 (2004-2005)(FR3462P)

Honda CBR400RRN(2005-2007)(FN2935L)

Nissian Latio (2007-2013)(SGU7413C)

Honda CBR600RR5 (2010-2013) (FZ3775U)

Kawasaki Z800 (2014-2018) (FBJ1955L)

Finally a brand new bike!
