May i know whats the servicing like for a Vespa GT200. besides the usual engine oil/filter/spark plug, when are the other major servicing like belts and rollers need to be done? thanks... new vespa rider here

Hi, in my opinion, the best place to modified your Vespa is Tong Aik. Althought their prices are on the high side, the service they render is very good. I know and personally experienced shops which maybe slightly cheaper but do such a rogue job you end up paying another shop to correct their wrong. However at Tong aik, they will call you for every little problem and explain to you clearly what needs to be done or repaired. Quality job.

 

As for Vespa Sprint, you can only try your luck in forums. hope and pray someone will sell their original sprint. Alternatively, you can try Tong Aik. If you are lucky, they might have sprint for sale. Act fast if you found it at a good price. Vespa are hotcakes!

Go to any shop but Piaggio at Genting Road , went there this afternoon to buy parts for my scooter ,

the very friendly service staff said this

"i told you i don't have this part , you don't waste my time , i am not going to find for you "

and I really regretted going there , go spend money buy parts and be treated like begger.

 

In the end ,i try my luck in another shop in town .

 

you can try the spare part shop at short street beside sim lim square that sell vespa parts ,

the 2 auntie very nice , offered to look for my parts and found what i needed !

Cant seem to find the appropriate information on vespa.. so am leeching on this thread

 

I'm looking at buying a 2nd hand vespa, but I have no idea how to check or verify the information provided on the ads, eg- just overhauled engine / engine in perfect condition. For those who bought a 2nd hand vespa, how did you perform your checks to ensure you get what you paid for?

 

If we buy from owner, do we have to be concerned with any transfer documents, registrations?

In general is it better buying from a lady rider?

 

Would anyone advise to buy from shop since there will be warranty as opposed to owner?

 

Do let me know if similar info exist elsewhere, thanks!

A brand new PX150 now cost $8.6K OTR w/o insurance. The price is correct as about a week ago when I checked with one of the AD. Cheers!

It's in a very good condition 10/10.

I was planning to do some paintwork on it.. but it's kind of a waste..

My question is.. "is there any Vespa LX 150 rider out there who wants to trade/switch cover sets?"

Colors i wanted are either Red, Moon Blue or White.

 

Ps: I feel embarrassed, everytime i go for a ride during the day. A 20 year old guy riding a pink vespa?? ):
