Hi fellow BB owners,

 

i have just bought a '99 BB efi. enjoying it immensely.

 

like to ask u guys how many litres engine oil with and w/o filter change.

 

and how many litres is the coolant tank?

 

Lastly,do u guys diy?like to join ur diy sessions if any.i'm staying yishun.

3.7 L w/o oil filter, 3.9L w oil filter

3L in maintank 1.1L in reserve

ps.. above are estimated... getting oil.. can't remember too clearly

anything more complicated will go mech.

i was cleaning my bb tis mrning when i realised the font fork axle missing safety pin/screw.

is it normal?

K.Sim, the hole in the axle is not meant for safety pin, it is meant for you to put a rod into it for holding it whilst openning the nut.

not advisable to change oil... where u going to dispose the used ones? :)

 

i just flushed my radiator yesterday.. :)

Hi can anyone recommend which coolant is best for bb?

Is Engine Ice good?

Cos the heat fr the engine can get quite hot.

I used water wetter in the past until i changed to another brand & i found out that the coolant used up rather quick.

Btw anyone knows where can i buy the water wetter?

Mebbe can try changing Amsoil engine oil as i've read it does not generate much heat thus overheating the engine.I changed to waterwetter last week so looking forward for the Amsoil EO.Hope it does really brings down the cooking temp....man my balls are hot........:)
