hey there....welcome to the nuthouse.....anyway at tht price should be ok if stock condition but u have to really hear the engine for funny noises.....most of the FI light indication allows the bike to start like normal except for some indications like 1,2,3,13,14,15,16...there are more but need to refer to the manual lah bro.....anyway good luck in findin a good bb out there.....its a 10 year old bike so definately u need to do top overhaul which can cost up to 2k n below depending on the change......hope to hear from you......

Hi all. Just wanna check wif you currently I'm surveying e few blackbird which Coe just renewed, plate FR&FS. Selling ard 6-6.5k stock cond. Is this ok? And how important is the FI light indicator? Coz it did not go off but bike start n running smoothly. Wat can be the problem? Thanks in advance.

FI light should not be on!!!!!!!!

For analogue meters the light doesnt come on at all except if there is a problem. For digital meters, it comes on during the self test

Hi penyu thanx for the reply but the one that I viewed doesn't display any code when checked by the mech but the FI indicator still lit up. Do any of u experience this before? Those my fren that rode Honda bike says it normal for Honda. is this true?

Hey guys, about 6 weeks ago a old pal of mine rode his Harley to my house, I sort of poke him and say you haven't live until you ride a Bird. I threw the keys of my bird at him and he went for a test ride.

Half an hour later he was not back I was getting worried, called his mobile, no reply. Eventually he turned up 50 mins later with a big smile on his face.

He went for an extended test ride, he says this BB is evil, out of a corner drop to 2nd and its Warp speed 5 Mr. Sulu.

He is now looking for a BB, if anyone of you knows of one in good riding condition (EFI model) for sale, pls give me the heads up.

Thanks buddy.

BB are fast, but not fast enough. I'll still got another 2010 Busa to ride at the same time. in terms of respond and power, BB is on the losing end. The braking power and suspensions are also not as superior. But as for comfort, i've got excellent feedback from pillions, even the Busa riders and pillions prefer the smooth delivery of power. Thats why more chicks wanna go out with me! Hahahaha!!! :cheeky:

Anyway, what more can we expect of, it's value for $$$, considering the BB cost less than $10K nowadays, not bad already lar!

Can lar bro. Check out youtube, there are plenty of BB with excess of more than 300km/h. 280km/h and above is really slow and pain-staking... I'm glad mine still can clear the 285km/h barrier, but still not good enough though, really need a full system and Pc badly. Just imagine me with Busa doing 280s on its 4th gear, when i think back, sad sia! Hahahaha!

Actually bro, the Busa was staying in lane so that the BB could over take safely, he just wanna avoid his friend banging him from behind if he were to change lane abruptly. This is typically a close group of speed demons riding together, just like how me and my kakis ride on NSH, although we ride fast, but we still look out for one another.

I think the stock brakes with CBS working are great. From all my different rides i feel BB has best stock brakes.

Yamaha LC 125 03/02 - 04/03

Yamaha RXZ 03/03 - 04/05

Suzuki Bandit VV 04/05 - 02/06

Yamaha Fazer 1000 03/06 - 10/07

Honda Blackbird 10/07 - 08/08

Yamaha Fazer 600 10/08 - 02/10

Definetly the best brakes when it comes to street and city riding, especially our congested Orchard road. Braking is a breeze. But the problem arise under harsh and hard braking, the rear wheel lock up too easily. I'm used to drifting before entering turn 3 of PG, but my balls shrink when the BB starts to lose traction on its rear. Too heavy to counter-steer. The CBS are really pain in the ass when problems arises, taking into consideration most of ours are near a decade old already.

True bro...we were once fast...now the zx n busa rule...kind of sad when honda stopped competing with suzukikunaiki and kawankasi for the fastest bike.

As for the veryon?...thats one damn fast car, makes an R1 looks like a super 4 chasing a litre bike...
