If your average fuel consumption is between 15-17km/l means its normal...The blackbird can become a real drinker when you try to reach KL below 2hrs..How much?..Try 10km/l....

My LCD burnt!!! so a portion of the left hand side cant see the reading of the temp, fuel gauge and part of mileage. There are two option 1) change to a new speedometer set 2) Possibility to repair/replace LCD. I had the LCD replaced.

i havent encountered the 25 blinks yet.... cause my birdie is FY plate.

 

and, I am getting about 280 to 320 km... sometimes 320 cause thats like i pump 21L in my tank liao

 

i haven seen the 25 blinks yet...but was told that maybe nid to adjust my fuel pump or something like tat....so just now the mech help to adjust and asked me to monitor my fc....

Gp to malacca minimum 240...malacca to sungai besi minimum 260...Syiok but no syiok for tires...

 

Stryker :- There's no way you can adjust the fuel pump on a bb..bad fuel economy can be cause by bad fuel pressure regulators,clogged injectors that have bad spraying pattern,faulty ecm(25 blinks) and faulty or unplugged 02 sensors(for 2001 above bb's)..

Ya bro! me too having the same problem...But guys, I came across this guy at the forum specialise in LCD.

Told him my problem and maybe he can fix it. He needs to visually check first. Price quote 70-80...I think maybe gonna have him check first.

last heard was there is only old yoshis left in the market the 4-2-1 systems.

guys i went to view reza's birdy ytd night.. Its quite a nice FZ plate bike... with no FI problem and the bike actually looks quite mint. apart from the dirt and the grimes from the road, else its pretty much quite nice.. One things is, his stock suspension is quite firm as he just rebuilt it..

 

His fairings are also stock black..

 

 

hmm just curious, anyone can verify a claim?

in my 4 years experience riding n touring with the BB bros.. we all ride safely, even in Malaysia. However, I need to make an exeception to a blackGrey blackbird who seems to be Missing in Action all the time due to milfhunting. This particular specimen is very dangerous. It appears that the person rides safely in local streets but when he rides on a long and straight road, he has this sudden twitch over his right wrist. We call this NO WRIST Discipline. Please beware if you see this blackGrey blackbird on the streets. Word is, he likes to "TOUCH ______ and GO"... You guys can fill in the blanks yourself.

U can get Ah Beng bikewerkz to change it for between 180 - 220 ( the left hand side only). Nite this is only replacung the LCD. And it doesnt come with any gurantee if the circuitboard kaput.

 

I got mine for much lesser than that but he doesnt offer the service. Special help for me.

I belueve tgat most of us are using the full capability of the bird. ..... What its built for!
