halo guys....juz got my helmet today from motoworld. decided to get a hjc since bros here recommend it for those wif low budget. aniwayz,i got a hjc cl 14 tts red and black for 180. the price there write 190,but dunno why when i paying e ger say count me 180 can liaoz.

aniwayz,e ger was rather helpful and frenly...not like wat bros here say. mayb her attitude change liao cos somebody complained bout her??

riding wif a fullface sure is a different experience...blind spot not tt easy to see liao...hopefully i get used to it soon man...

i bought mine march 2005. she also charge me $180 +$40 black visor.

 

price is still the same after one year, so tight. :dizzy:

Hi guys,

First check out a helmet that fits you perfectly on your head first (regardless of brand)- means fits comfortabily without any dizzines,headache or ear pain. Wear it for a moment try it out...twist,shake,jump try to pull out the helmet from your head from behind towards the front- try out the helmet, after that go for colours, design paterns...

 

And don't listen to the salesman pscho tactics to push the sale...be yourself unless he gurantees after few day(not comfortable) can return and get-back the full refund...but till now no saleperson/shop did say that.

 

No point of having stylo/brando helmet that gives you ear pain after half and hour of ride...

 

Not all brands suits everybody...e.g ARAI may suits you but it may not suits me...

 

I don't think you want to budget yourself for a helmet that gives you headaches and other problems and it dosen't mean an EXpensive helmet can give you a comfortable ride either.

 

Now quality-wise most (small time named) helmets have reached to a certain standard with the leader brands.

 

Before getting a helmet make sure the shop carries spare parts for that helmet e.g visors,screws, cushions and etc.

 

It is always good to get a helmet that have been in the market for sometime...few years. Get with the PSB stickers, if you are going for budget types.

 

As for branded top grade quality helmets e.g Arai,shoei,OGK,AGV and so on- to save some cash... "without PSB stickers" still can be use here... just a word of caution.

There are selling Arai and Momo helmet.

I went there today looking for the momo helmet and I saw this sign on every top corner of their showcase..it reads

" PAY FIRST BEFORE YOU TRY"..

The moment I saw it, I just walk out.

Where is the logic of that?

I saw this sign too when I walked in, the helmet fit my head perfectly on first try. Walked out with a new helmet after an hour chatting with the friendly and helpful Mr Lim.
