I fully understand what Corse meant because I've been through a few rounds of assessment during 2B. Many times, we as riders are unconscious of mistakes like wobbling, but it's plain as daylight to the person observing. For example, when I check blind spot before turning, I didn't even realise my bike wobbled if my instructor didn't tell me.

During the TP test, it's very often the small things that will kill you. For me, accumulated a lot of points for things like wobbling and failing to check for traffic (forgot). After that, I really understood why the instructors nagged on small things like wobbling and checking blind spot etc. They tell us these things for a reason, not because they are so free or have so much saliva to spare.

I like to think of the TP test as a dance performance. In a dance the choreography is very exact, and every dancer must follow everything to the tiniest detail. Likewise, in a TP test, we're performing for the tester. It's up to us to make sure that our performance is as perfect as possible. This takes practice and listening to our instructors very carefully.

Don't stop learning. Good luck.

haha. dont worry la.

i think you need to get ur eye point correct.

dont look at the chio bu-s at the traffic lite when u turn la!! :cheeky: :D

when u turn dont look at ur meter also. look thru the turn and look a little far.

it always align thr bike swee swee for u to turn.

helps with your lean angle to make the turn also!

Try it! :thumb:

haha yea.

although more revision may seem better.

sometime some mistake you make during CR may nt been made knwn to u.

So u jus keep repeating the mistakes, and add on more mistakes and becomes a habit.

Go with fren best! Can look out for each other mistakes then later share. :thumb:

i Copied this from page 676, #337563.

I posted this before regarding about U-turns.

Some prefer 1st, some will prefer 2nd.

Try not to use half clutch on 2nd gear. In fact when i'm on 1st gear, i dont use half clutch (this is after many correct practices).

If u're stationary and abt 1 car length from the U-turn junction, use 1st gear.

When u're moving off, dont realease the rear brake completely, try to use it slighty when u're moving off.

Make sure u maintain the accelaration and the clutch control. Get the right speed when u're moving becuz it should be the same speed for ur u-turn. if u're moving off is toooo fast then u will close throttle during the u-turn which will make the bike wobble. Unless u can close and able to open the throttle gently. If u find urself getting a little faster during the u-turn, tap the rear brake gently and hold it there, along with ur throttle still on(or better still if u know how to close throttle by a degree or so without closing completely), till ur bike nearly completes the u-turn.

Relax ur posture, holding the handle bar to firmly makes u open the throttle to hard and make the bike harder to turn as well, grip the fuel tank(but not too hard) to put more body wieght on the fuel tank,(centre of gravity) and not on ur arms and handle bars. lean ur weight slighty to the right if necesary. Eye point should be looking the lane u wanna be in.

2ng gear... Is when u have abt 2 cars lengths away from the u-turn.

when u have changed to 2nd gear, make sure u accelarate enough speed to enter the u-turn with deccelaration. That mean, accelarate, close throttle when u r turning, open throttle when u're abt slightly more that half way thru ur u-turn. rear brakes can be use if necessary.

After riding for 3 years, before working at SSDC i thought at was skillful in my riding. But only as an instrtuctor, i really start to understand how to ride a bike confidently with better skill. (I think some of u guys might know i went for advance riding/driving training in Japan). If can, i'd love to teach u guys how to do a u turn with 1 hand and not to be afraid of u-turn's anymore.

Ride Safe.

Good for you! Don't give up. It took me almost a year to complete my course too. I don't really think too highly of those who just want to quickly pass-pass-pass but learn nothing from the course.
