Wrong, after coming down from slope, should be checking back right side. Only when on the slope and before start of E-brake, then u check inward only

thought even when down at the slope, at the stop line, if u are on the left u check right , if u are on the right side u check inward which is left

This is why it's best to just ask the instructors... :p

i have checked with two different instructor, if on slope even when at stop line, check inwards, if on left check back right, if on the right check back left

Which slope are we talking about -- the course or when leaving/coming back to SSDC? I'm more interested in the latter; I've always thought it was check back right, but I'm not sure.

actually its easier to ask the instructors after lesson, at least you know that whatever info they give you should be correct... rather than everyone give their piece here and some might be contradicting...

and it's faster than waiting for Corse to answer here...

Whoops... Hee.....

Circuit slope is check back inwards.

Slope at the main gate is check back right.

Going for Prac 5 tml, want to clear up something about check backs:

1. After turning out of the Start Point, at the junction before turning right to the slope, is it a check back left since we are near the curb?

2. After the slope, before turning left into that long stretch of road, is it check back inwards?

3. At the E-brake, is it a check back inwards as well cause they are curbs on both sides?

Thank you.

1. Yes, chk left.

2. At the downslope, stopline? yes, chk inwards.

3. Yes, inwards.

When u're preparing to turn right. u're suppose to check back right.

When u're preparing to turn left, u're suppose to check back left.

BUT, all left turns that u're making, have a kerb on the left. So the rider on the left side, checks right. (which is the other rule abt checking back - 'Check away from the kerb'). So eventually, all left turns, is inwards. :thumb:

Thanks for cfm-ation, didn't get to see the post in time so I went to ask the instructor just now. Yea, passed Lesson 5 in one attempt! Thanks to those who ans my qn.

Got 18 out of 18 points! Got 5.94sec for the narrow plank, cost me 4 pts. And the other 14 points are incorrect posture, fail to check traffic and one check back/blindspot penalty.

Got to say I'm very lucky. Go for CR everything do so nice, but during the warm up really jialat at the narrow courses. Fall off the plank, hit kerb for the crank and fig-8... I stopped the warm up early cos really feel demoralized and nervous.

But I cleared it!

Sometimes it's better to have all the bad luck before the test... I got into an accident the night before my Class 3 TP several years ago, but maybe that got rid of all my suay-ness at one go so I passed! :D

lol i meant you probably have a life outside of answering questions on forum la... so of course cannot expect instantaneous answer... would be better to ask you face-to-face after lesson...

boring rider. with a boring bike.

Just a quick question guys!

If someone cancel their theory test date for TP, will their slot be released for booking in the SSDC system? Cause the idea of havin to wait a month for test date is not very nice haha.

Everything pass nice and fast then kena a wall, sian.

Ya, you probably won't see it, cuz it'll be snapped up like abalone in a buffet. BTW hi Mr Julian(Corse), you took me once for L2, haha!

Anyone can ride a bike. Being a biker, is a state of mind.

What happens if I book AFTER July 1st? My pocket is very tight (PDL + Lesson 6) at the moment...

Yea, the instructor did debrief us on the matter. I remember him emphasizing "Do not panic if you are still on Lesson 5". Did not ask him questions pertaining to the booking of lessons cause I thought the computer would set that straight. Plus the instructor say go find them if there is any problems.

There is a revision to the lessons' content.

Instead of Lesson 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6.1, 6.2, 7, now it is Lesson 1, 2, 3.1, 3.2, 4, 5, 6, 7.

They will now do the plank and slalom first in Lesson 2 before doing the hazard courses in Lesson 3. Lesson 4 is the evaluation, Lesson 5 onwards is the on-the-road sessions. That's what I remember off my head.

that sounds good. Doing Fig.8 right after L1 is a harrowing experience. I can imagine how many trainees at L2 had shot up the kerb at crank. Hehe

going for my 3 tries for L2 later at 320 hope can pass this time round. so far never shoot up or hit kerb, maybe cause no guts to move fast yet. cant meet the timing

by the time you're reading this, hope you'd done well and cleared L2. Where you look is uber important. You'll automatically throttle/brake to go where you go. +u +u, next lesson can fly at E-brake le.
