lesson 5 (the old lesson 6 part 1) is the first time you go on the roads. i remember going on many u-turns. i don't remember if everyone passed but i think the key is to keep a healthy following distance, have good judgement on the roads (especially at junctions, lane changes, u-turns), have good control of your bike. if you have these, i think your chances of passing is very high.

lesson 6 (the old lesson 6 part 2) focuses more on the route (as someone already suggested). the biggest area here to focus on is the route, safety checks, plus everything i spoke about previously.

enjoy and all the best!

i saw this testee with his bike after the stop line at the last traffic junction before going towards ssdc yest. Saw him shaking his head, pity him.

You'll never know how you do until the results are out.

Oh I thought you went for these 'drive through' prior to getting your license so that you can familiarize yourself with the test route, hahaha.

And what mistake was that?

uneccessary stopping at traffic junction when the adjacent pedestrian crossing was free of pedestrians (nobody crossing at that point of time). that learner stop before the white line for abt a few secs, then he check back and moved. I rmb the instructor telling me abt my mistake cos other road users wont be expecting me to stop like that and might langa my rear. A potential road hazard. For that reason, i failed. Its quite obvious for this poor fella's case as the instructor was nearby.

I remembered that I did that once during one of my lessons and got a lecture from the instructors there and then.

Yay! Passed my Lesson 5 on my first try. Quite scary riding on the road as drivers don't even give chance to L-plate riders like me. Had one driver swerve onto my path without signalling!

Scared but overjoyed! The booking of my TP can't be far now... :cheeky:

You won't have one driver swerving next time, it's about how many you avoided... lol..

Around 5 out of 6 passed. It's all about good judgement. Just err on the side of being safe, and you should turn out fine. I booked for a night slot on 8 September, as did the other guys who passed.

so either lesson 5 or 6 must be night slot right. which means if i pass lesson 5 morning slot, my lesson 6 must be night?

Hi guys, 2 quick qns:

Are all the TP days on Thursday? Mine is currently 1/10/09 but when I check the others available were 8th and 15th, also Thursdays.

Secondly, is it normal for me to only be able to see 1 date at a time?

Yup, for SSDC, it's Thursdays. I think the new dates will be available when all the slots for one had been filled.
