yo bro u how long experience in s/s?? not so ahk bro..some of ma frens earn more den me in basic seh...some got basic such as 3.5k....but for now more n more company aint willing to pay more..they will pay lower n expect u to do all e things...push u all e paperwerk,such as permit,exit permit,r.a, everything ahk...so better dun take local company,coz they got dis kinda of mentality..**** e local company:angry: y u neva take s/c?? take ahk..now s/s hard to find job oso ahk...

what is ch2m stand for? My bro is a Pm for scal. but he does not wan to help me cause i've 0 experience :(. I'm sharing this account with him ;).

 

 

i tink i got give ya bro an email of ma resume ahk...but he neva get bck to me...:angel: it is CH2M HiLL a name of company lah..ch2m is ma main con..i sub con... oh u got 0 experience den its too bad bro for 0 experience its hard to get job...i laz time wen i juz pass i lucky coz ma fren recommend me to a company dat willing to take fresh graduate for bcss coz in dis line its all about recommendation,unless u got 5yrs experience above den its easy to get job.:cheers:

during interview.. the question they will ask.. y u choose safety??

wat is the answer to them??

i kinda lost when they ask me tat.. cos i got dip in mech engg.. n i applied for asst. WSE office..

fresh grad la.. 1st interview some more...haha

 

dat question is easy,if u kena dis question more jialat,wat is 14 element?,wat is e 7 preliminary permits?, wat is cp code? all dis question will pop up wen interview:faint::faint::faint:,if local company all dis kinda of question wont pop up...:lol: they want experience so high 3yrs n above, but pay peanut(low salary)...:lol: they expect tooo much...:faint:

1st time kena dat kinda question sure blur...but actually when u go for e s/c course u should noe liao, for e answer of cp code is not necessary for u to noe,coz code of practise(cp code) is juz a guideline by e committee of construction if m not wrong...coz cp code got alot,m sure nobody can remember all of them...:angel:

Hi all,

 

I am a new member here and i need some advise and info from all as i wish to be a safety officer. I have a BCSS cert and i intend to go for the advance workplace safety and health soon and ultimately i will be taking the specialist diploma in workplace safety and health. I have done some checks and i may not qualify to take up the specialist diploma course as i do not fufill the min 3 to 5 years in the work place safety and health related experience. I am in my 30s and a sole bread winner for my family and i am serious about becoming a safety officer after trying out a few jobs for the last 8yrs. I have a diploma in mechanical engineering and will go for my advance WSH soon. Hope i can make it in time for the next window for the diploma course. But there again, i may not qualify and i would really wanna jump start from where i am......any input to help me? Thanks

understand ya plight bro...but its not easy to jump to safety..trust me...me also from electrical/electronic n now in safety...currently, taking dat specialist dip in WSH...not easy but slowly picking up....try hard bro...sure can..

Thanks for the encouragement......i really hope to jump start in this line coz i have heavy committment and i am quite stressed up at times. Hope Ngee Ann or Singapore poly will accept my application for the specialist diploma in WSH....keep my finger cross but chances are not high though

· Maintain and improve effectiveness of EHS Management System

 

· Conduct audits, job hazard analysis & industrial hygiene assessments

 

· Conduct trainings & program evaluation

 

· Facilitate programs & activities

 

· Monitor permits, licenses & statutory requirements

 

 

 

Requirements :

 

· Degree/Diploma in Engineering Discipline

 

· 2 years’ relevant experience preferably in metal working industry

 

· Registered Safety Officer

 

· Familiar with EH&S Management System

 

· Preferably with Certificate in Fire Safety Manager and Noise Monitoring
