MotoGp 2011 Sepang stopped & cancelled

The motogp 2011 at Sepang was red flag and stopped and cancelled after 2 rounds after a serious accident involving Marco Simocelli silding off track and colliding with Edwards and Rossi.

 

Marco was hit by Edward's bike and is in very serious condition. The race was cancelled as I post.

Marco Simmocelli has passed away due to injuries sustained in the crash at Sepang 2011 Motogp.

maybe they shld review the AGV helmet that came off, Craig Jones of BSB fell & hit in the head by front tyre of the rider behind, his helmet never came off but he stil succumb to the injury

Heard a lot of "boos" & singing when they announced the race was cancelled & saw many empty bottles being thrown onto the track.

Should have blame the PA did not announced to the spectator on the details.

I was there too.Facing the accident corner.Though i travelled and had to spent to get there,my utmost concern was Simoncelli's condition at that time.Nevermind that it was an anti-climax 2 lap race cancelled.Waited and waited and saw the sad news of Marco succumbed to his injuries and felt very,very sad.Told 3 Aussie guys who were seated behind me and they couldn't believe it too.RIP Marco.U are never forgotten.

i agree. anyone who is more concerned about getting his money's worth over a racer's life deserves to get his head run over by a motorcycle. Even if the race was re-started, i don't think i would have the mood to watch it, knowing that one of the most likable racers in the paddock was dead.

That 1st lap where Marco & Bautista overtake each other is a clean race, remind me of their 250 race with Barbera, Aoyama...to me, only this ppl know how to race with Simoncelli..Pedrosa & Lorenzo can't...i bet Bautista will think thats this is the last time he race with Simoncelli

I hate to bring this up again, I recently came know the identity of this person bragging about how he throw his "pizza hutt" box on to the track. Whats worse he works with the Singapore Police Force. Imagine, in his own country he issues SGD500 summons for anybody caught littering. Then he comes to MY! country and openly admits "littering" our beloved Sepang Circuit. Just imagine If I were to pass this on to my media friends.... What a field day they would have!. Seriously... Disgraceful.
