given that S4's airbox design, no matter how good the filter is, the air box is no good.

the air intake pod is just below the tank. air flow is somewhat restricted. n worst of all, it takes in hot air when riding. i'm sure most riders will have this experience that at night, or windy day, the engine is smoother compared to a hot sunny day.

if not of space constraint, i oso wanna make an open pod for my bike.

unless we can do something like the attached pic...

air flow is better n the air sucked in is not as hot therefore making the bike feels lighter n throttle response is oso better...

thats my personal view of air filters...

need 4 filters and need to change jets and need to retune .....

tried K&N and pipercross before..

K&N definately better than stock.. Sound also loud when vtec opens..

PX had a higher flow than K&N, but seems to be more slient.. one more thing abt PX is it's harder to grasp the flow.. according to my mech, flow much higher than K&N but hard to control, at certain RPM it'll be not stable.. but overall okay..

currently using PX and very happy with it.. but may change to K&N to see the different again cuz now using different setting and exhaust..

Yup... After changed to KNN, my pick-up improved a bit. Crisp throttle response and FC drop by 20km...

RPM needle move very fast.

How much is the pipercross?
