Hi,

after passing my 2B in Feb last year i bought an Motoair airbag vest featured in MotorCultureAsia mag and it serves me well in terms of providing all-rounded upper body protection in case of a crash(*touchwood-so far none yet).

Im so pleased with it that i bought 2 airbag mesh jacket just to standby once i get my 2A this year. If ur size is between small-medium, i can let go 1 of it to u. Its going for $300 on the website but im selling it @ $150 brand new as i got it as a bundle promotion.

Check this out for more info http://www.airbagjacket.com.sg/product_details.php?category_id=61&item_id=18

Sms me @ 90991225 if u r interested. Im staying at Jurong East.

Ride safe!

how is the airbag triggered? do you need to attach a link to a part of the bike so that it pulls the trigger mechanism?

February 2011 - March 2012 = Phantom TA 200

March 2012 - August 2013 = Suzuki Impulse 400

Present = BMW (Bus, MRT, Walk)

There's a ring(2 sizes given) with a metal clamp to be attached to the bike's frame/strong point. Wear the jacket, then connect the clip to the clamp. If the connection is suddenly pull by a violent force(eg. thrown off bike), the CO2 cannister(replacable) will be activated and inflates the airbag within 0.2-0.5secs. All parts are replacable.

Intially i tend to forget to unclip before dismounting my bike but that kind of pulling force wun trigger the inflation. And i won't ever want to be in any accident just to see if it works. I do trust the R&D done and web reviews enuf to purchase this. Go check out the vids in the website for more details.

*DO NOT use a dry husk! Please use fresh coconut instead. Split into half, pour the juice out, dun scrap out the meat and cup it over for immediate use. Discard after 3hrs and repeat til bedtime.

Coconut meat is good for toning the skin and prevent nipple rash. To order, kindly visit my webpage http://www.coconutarmor.com.sg

Simply uplifting!

Forgestryker or any1,has any recommendation for our lower body?

Protection gears. Armour pants or wad

Hey bro @haoKR for lower body, i.e. legs, hips currently i am using Komine armored pants, there are alot of different type of material and amount of protection for the various styles that Komine has. Mine is the Ragusa pants, PK-707 is the pants code. You can have a look at their website http://www.komine.ac/. Check out their Spring and Summer collection, its more relevant to our weather.

Just to let you in on this pants, it has hard CE armour for shins, knees, side of thighs, tailbone and cushion for the hips. The cushion for the hips are abit thin though, seriously doubt if it can help much. Anyways, it is pretty well armoured thats why i got it. I haven't come across another that is as highly armoured. Maybe now have la, not sure. Material is quite good, made of fabric, black in color and you can wear it over your normal workpants, jeans etc. Thats what i do. Also you can link the pants to a komine jacket via a zip system so in case you low-side, well...at least it is zipped and hope the zip wun fail. :cheeky:

Abit hot but well, because i work and was trained in a chemical plant, safety is always priority for me. Ventilation is so-so, there are mesh sewed to the groin area and some parts of the inner thighs. If i feel really hot, sometimes i do a stand up while riding for a few seconds to let the wind through hahaaha. Like today, it was maddening hot!!!

Hope it helps, you can check other brands too. But so far komine is quite ok for me, price also ok. This pants is about 120 or 170, i forgot, at motoworld.

Btw i read that dainese are coming out a better airbag jacket that Rossi is in the testing phase too for the race riding and they are doing a version for street riding. Different speed activation timing or whatever. Anyways, this jacket does not use any clip to the bike. There is some microchip on the jacket and also on your bike which sense a drastic change in speed or signs of an accident/collision and automatically inflates your jacket. I called our local dainese dealer, think is not out yet but you can check out dainese web for it. Have videos too.

Price is going to be high though, i think its in region of 800-1k plus? I think so...must further check.

Drastic change in speed then the airbag inflate? Uh oh.... I wouldn't want my airbag inflating every time I do emergency braking... >_

is that true? thanks for the info.

Seriously? Lim Ah Boy? The Lim Ah Boy at sim lim area??? The same Lim Ah Boy who sells Fake OGK FF4 @ $180? The fake OGK fullface helmet which costs $180 and the visor will fly out when you're going at 120km/h on the expressway with the visor CLOSED DOWNWARDS and u check your blindspot??? Seriously??? Personal experience with Lim Ah Boy in March 2009. Visor detached itself on the expressway @ 120km/h and visor down. Flew right off the hinges. And I wore it like only 4 times. Never dropped before at that time. Now it dropped and I found out another thing... The vents are double-sided taped on. Lol... It's not I'm defaming him or what. It really happened. I still keep the helmet with me in case he wants to sue me for "defaming/spoiling his reputation" not that he has any good reputation... Lol... For all of your info, his company is not registered under Accounting Corporate Regulatory Association (ACRA) as Lim Ah Boy Pte Ltd. So if something happens to your gear or helmets while riding, u can't sue him. And another piece of info, this Lim Ah Boy was sued by ARAI for "Copyright infringement/ illegal use of ARAI's trademark/ willfully duplicating ARAI helmets while aware of the consequences" lol. U still wanna buy from him? Cheap and lousy quality products. Trust me. Rs 959 @ $120? Lol. Vents double-sided taped on? Lol. $120 can get u a PSB approved fullfaced helmet from motoworld and still can get back $20 change.
