Blue thing is the stupid leo vince metal seal with cables warp around the end cAn spring. ugly like shxx..!

I dun mind not removing the silencer. Its the Kat(catalyser) positioned in the mid pipe which can be removed (obviously now cant because of the stupid seal)... The kat makes the sound more worst than my original exhaust.

Sucks big time...

Huh? I thought aftermarket usually no catalyser? The catalyser usually is with the stock exhaust. Depending on where it is placed in the original exhaust system, it will or will not be removed when you take out the end can. Unless you mean the circle plate with 4 small holes on it?

Most slip on will not remove the cat in the exhaust system, if it did, it will be definately not street legal as it will not be able to meet the strict emission laws.

Actually what I meant is aftermarket end can usually do not have cat in it.That is because the TS is arguing now he can't remove the cat supposingly located in the aftermarket end can's mid pipe. Or I misunderstand his meaning.

Well , its not built in tho. Its a round thing that can be removed. And trust me, the sound is worst than a sewing machine with that thing packed before the end can.

Basket. Ride rxZ nicer sound. Basically, consumers are still not infd upon purchasing....trick method? Why,? Scared of loosing business? in the end customer suffers....this is the end results....

Should have informed customers before they make payment or even during enquiry.

I think you mean this,

If it is this, then it is not the catalyser. Catalyser look like this,

My LV also came with this. But I never install it because I don't know what it for. So now I know what it for.

I will ask my bike shop to uninstall it and sent back to gmax for a refund. I believe we have a law for consumer rights in recent news headlines ?

Correct me if I am wrong. Cat is also called aka mid-pipe rite? The one that converts most of the carbon monoxide to carbon dioxide? Juz would like to get the item name correct.

But some bikes have the cat built into the exhaust end can. Am I correct to say that?

I think you better check with Gmax privately.

They are 2 different thing. Mid pipe is usually the pipe that is between the end can and header. And cat is the one that I have shown in the picture above which did what you have mentioned. It can be anywhere inside the exhaust system depending on where the manufacturer placed it.

I think asking for full refund is highly not possible. Why not ask whether is it possible for them to help remove the plate and reseal it back for free? Unless all seal have a unique serial number on it then you got not much choice but to ask for refund.

Stock is good...Choose your weapon wisely and enjoy it...you can have all the $$$$ to mod and in the end you can't make full use of it....

This case has indeed questioned the integrity on trusted shops....i may be the unlucky one but im only voicing out so that our fellow local bikers dun fall into their trap.

1.4k is no small amount guys. I can pay my kids school fees for a year with that...too bad businesses like these have taken advantage of passionate riders such as myself.

Ur getting way off already bro. If that 1.4k could have used for paying ur kids sch fees, u shouldnt have pyrchased the slip on in the first place.

How often sg riders here mod their midpipe also right?

Or worst comes to worst, u can just repack the fibres to the racing fibres type lor.

Thanks for sharing.

When we buy a aftermarket pipe, its mainly for the weight reduction , better sound and a few bhp increase (though not always in the lower range of rpm)

If it sounds like crap due to the removal of the mid pipe (or whatever), I think many will think twice about buying 1 after all.

Cheers.

Ultimately If the sound is fine, i would have make a big issue out of this. It sounded like a sewing machine mixed with minor bell ringing sounds...any bikers will be pissed...
