One has to bite the bullet when it comes. Now I envy my friends who started early. Some of their kids already serving NS whereas my eldest is in K1 this year. Sibeh siong leh....

 

That's also why I'm having a mid life crisis and moved away from fast bikes to now more classic / custom bikes.

 

Haha, take it easy, my friend. Midlife starts at 50 nowadays.....

Here's my bobber project finally completed! Modifications done without chopping any part of the frame. Engine and drive train completely stock. So I don't see why it shouldn't be approved by big brudder! But then again, him and I have never seen eye to eye! Haha!

Haha! Thanks. Actually, most of the kudos goes to the bike itself. Very little had been done to get it looking that way. It's what you'd call a "natural"! Hahaha!

Haha! I know right?! So I've followed some of the advice given by the more experienced broz here, that is to ride only at nights, and on weekends. So far, managed to escape the long arm of the law. Hope my luck holds out...

if LTA looks at your custom bike and they go "nah that's alright", then its not bad ass enough!

 

Ride at strategic timings and you should be safe. just remember to revert back for yearly inspections ;)

So I just finished my seat yesterday. And fixed on my Biltwell grips.

Now need to figure out a less conspicuous position for my IU.. thinking of putting it under the headlight behind the number plate. but looks like it will barely clear. any other suggestions besides the cliched next to engine position?

Of course I trust my skills. I ride alone cos I don't trust the competency of the driver next to me.

Nice work!!

 

For the IU i know some folks secured to the front fork with it facing sideways. It'll still work and remember to only place on the right side so u have no problem with carpark gantry sensors.

WoW!! Waaaaay cool :cool: Think I got my seat done at the same place...like the 10th shop or so in from Desker Road? The colour co-ordination is great, fits the grips like they were sold together! :thumb:

Everything looks great.....except the rear part of ur seat. Seeing the frame like that... Ever considered using the rxk seat plastic cover to cover up the frame?

i hated it initially but it has grown on me. haha makes it look very junkyardish. my tail light is placed between the two frames currently. but really, too long lah the S4 frame.. too unnecessarily long..

Sold 3 of my bikes recently and got this. Good that its already 80% done according to my original plan. Only a few more things to do to MY liking. Paintwork is definitely going. Hahaha

It's a y2k nx4 falcon by the way, the one with the motard xr4 engine. Already spent 1k just on replacing wear and tear parts so running perfectly now. Next part is to start on the mods.

Nice bro you're the new owner? Hahaha. The elsinore dommies were part of the design brief. Wanted to get those bajadesign headlights but never got a chance to.

 

And for the record, I hated the paintjob too lol. They were done by the guys who used to share shop space with VCS. Still can charge me $400 to paint a cg tank zzz. Better luck coming up with the design ourselves next time instead of leaving it to them. (He claims those are supposedly tyre thread marks btw hahaha)

Yeah, it looks like tyre tracks. Prolly have to spend more to remove the paint cos i tink it's can sprayed. Haizz
