Should try LiquiMoly brand...good quality,Clocked at 6,500km on my 2B bike then need to change.Equiment Xtreme is holding the brand.

if u do a research about moly in engine oil, u will know why there isn't any many others.

in fact, all known brands engine oil manufacturers don't want moly as additives in their oil.

tat's why u dun see any moly in them.

some pointers as of why no moly in oil:

1) moly tends to breakdown earlier after 2,000 km run.

2) moly will be trap by oil filters.

3) moly imbedded into clutch plates, will damage it.

etc.....

unless u verified tat liquimoly dun have moly content in it, then it's safe for use.

is there any cheapest fully synthetic 4t oil?

yes, there r those hydrocrack eo labelled as full synthetic.

hydrocrack, it's a filtering process using dino based, contains no PAO or ester.

castrol, carlube, elf, putoline, mostly those

giant at tampines used to sell carlube full syn for $9 per litre bottle.

tried it for a month then change to rp max-cycle 20w-50, $18 per litre bottle.

imho castrol, carlube, elf, putoline r not good, they r like semi-syn instead of full-syn.

what most of us are using are the multi-grade oils, e.g. 10W40, 15W50, 5W60, etc. the "W" signifies Winter, not watt or weight or anything else. all in a nutshell (and in layman terms)...

nope... the numbers got nothing to do with your engine revs

the number in before the W represents the ability of the oil to be pumped at lower temperatures; someone ever described it as the ability to stay "liquid" in cold conditions. i.e. the colder temperature, the lower numbers (e.g. 0W) we should use.

in sinkapor, this number may be said to be of no significance since there is only 3 seasons here... hot-n-humid, hot-n-wet, hot-n-blardy hot!

the numbers after the W indicates the viscosity of the oil; someone ever describe it as thickness, the higher number, the heavier or thicker the oil. i.e. 10w40 is "thinner" than 10w60 of the same make, shake the bottles n you can tell. lighter oils usually gives a lighter and more responsive feel on the bike but engines may be relatively noisier. on the other hand, heavier oils are often used on older engines whose parts (e.g. pistons/rings) are so to speak "loose" due to wear-n-tear, giving additional protection by covering the larger "gaps" and reducing engine noise.

which to use? usually follow the grades as recommended by the manufacturer :deal:

if not too technically particular, can disregard the pao or ester base differences. i usually choose using this formula:

a) full synthetic, semi-synthetic or mineral oils?

b) which grade... heavier or lighter?

c) which brand? reputable brands shouldn't go wrong

d) budget... how much u willing to spend per litre/bott?

check this out... EO grading

btw, i'm currently using liqui moly 10w50 fully synthetics... would like to try bel-ray EXS one of these days

Tried bel-ray 10w60 on my RVF400... My feel is.. Very thick.. Sluggish pickup. The oil like very "heavy" which is not my cup of tea, because i prefer pickup.

Any recommendation for RVF400?

Fully-Syn or Semi-Syn ? Brand and price ?
