First-Ever Cross Threads Outing

 

Introduction:

It had always been a practice in sbf for each thread to organise their own outings and gatherings.

And it hit upon me that instead of keeping to one thread/one make of bike, why not widen our circles and meet riders of similar interest?

 

As a first attempt to organise a cross-threads outing, we are inviting riders of all make, types, classes of bikes, with the link posted in krr150, nsr150sp/rr, tzm150, cbr150, babymitto, rs125, r125, nsr250, rs250, babyblade, rvf400, gsxr400, zx4, m2b threads; covering most 2b/a sportsbikes.

 

Main objective of this gathering/outing is for riders of different threads to meet each other, widening friendships, and have fun! =)

 

Althought link is posted only in above mentioned threads, feel free to invite friends who are riding other bikes as well.

 

Once again emphasizing this is an open-to-all-bikes event.

Duration: 2-4 Hours (free to go/join at any point of time)

 

Destinations:

 

From past experiences, we decided to keep exact locations unknown to all first.

 

Activities would be late dinner/supper, followed by riding to a nice scenic popular hangout for couples, before punching card at that well know place for engines.

It will be on a saturday's night, and we will be expecting quite a big turn-up. Thus all hot-spots would be avoided, in our routes and destinations. Time on hot-roads will be minimized. Special parking place will be allocated. To minimize risk, card-punching would be the last destination; as late as possible.

If it is inconvenient for you to list your number, you can (1) list just one number if you are coming as a group, (2) pm me your number.

 

SMS will be sent when;

- 1-2hours before meeting time to confirm place to meet (and in case of rainy weather)

- 15mins before leaving each locations (to inform riders who have yet to arrive)

- point of leaving location for next (for those who could not make it on time and will be joining at next location)

- arrival at location (for those who got lost on the way, who is joining at current location, on where to park and where to find us)

 

If turn up is big, we will need a leader in each thread to assist in coordinating; thus the categorization of threads.

 

An advice to those who cannot confirm their attendance till the date of meeting, just leave your contacts in the list, so that you will know where to join us if you can make it.

I am now currently facing a problem..one of my headlights does not on when i switched it to low beam..in other words only 1 light bulb lights when in low beam..but when i switched it on to high beam, both lights light up..

 

Can i know wat is the cause of the problem??..as the bike is now in lay up status, i am not able to bring it to any bike shop to rectify this problem..

 

So could any kind souls here help me with this..my suggestion is that if any kind souls here could come down to my place to help me fix this problem,i would be very grateful to you..but of course,i will pay you for the problem you have fixed for me..

hmmm... One of ur bulb melt le. For ur low beam, if u high beam got both light. That mean ur low beam bulb melt.

1 look at any sp its like 9 years old and obviously nothing is even close to wat it is when its new lol..

a normal bulb haven blown will be clear. advise to change both.

ok firebladez2003, go to any bikeshop, pay abit of sch fees($5 if u r cai tao), buy the bulb see how the mechanic change, the nxt time, u can advertise bulb changing services to everyone liao..

 

offer something like $45, den pple sure look for u rather den sky one..

i suggest that you change both tog..

 

actually u switch on high beam for the time being can liao.. cos the light wont get any brighter.. but the light will shine further nia... so no difference... but then u mention tt ur bike is on lay up, so i suppose tt u haven pass ur tp... like tt can wait de...
