Okok. I have not seen a female sp rider! Dying to see one otr! Haha

there are alot just have to keep a look out...i know two riding one staying in front my block one behind haha...but whether they still post in here i not sure liao....

HI ALL! just passed tp today. is sp a difficult bike to maintain for someone who know nuts about bike? looking at sp and x1r.. my friends who ride all ask me take x1r cause they say sp is old and problematic. but kup kia no fuel tank to grip!! sian. or any other bikes to intro? :p looking at second hand bike cause i plan to "experiment" how to take care of bike. no use paying so much than in the end i dont know how to take care and spoil it.

if u are planning to really experiment on taking care bike den problems will be a good thing to you since this way u get to understand wat the problems are and knows how to identify one in future(thats how i learn mine) but then again its best not to encounter also as it can be quite a hassle if u end up always getting stuck in the middle of nowhere, as for normal maintenance like change oil spark plug all this i sure alot of lao jiaos here can teach or if not although might seem annoying just stand beside ur mech when he does it for u next time:), overall sp is quite a good bike if maintained properly, nothing wrong with knowing nuts can always learn

a little two cents..

btw, do anyone know whether 1 seater legal anot ar?

If i am not wrong, it should be legal but if you looking at molded tail then i think not legal.

legal meh???the last time i heard its not whether the law changed i not sure liao...

thinking of getting one seater since im always riding alone.. but scared that it's nt legal..

hmmm....just keep the two seater if ya ask me, u never know when u'll need to pillon anyone or maybe girls?hehe just joking abt the girls thing beside single seater wont affect much performance i think?

I SAW THOSE ! Scooter like helmet , wear shades and the cut grass mask !

So what does the cap do before you wear the helmet ?

according to my friend he says is to prevent having the weird "helmet-hair" shape and also for hygiene purpose....

Hey people, I need help here. My 10-year-old SP recently keeps giving me problem.

1) It started with one fine morning when I couldn't kick start the engine. Several times I managed to get it started, but it will die after about 5 seconds. I thought I should leave it for a few hours and try again, and in the afternoon, I managed to kick start the engine. Drove out of my house, the engine gave way. I waited for an hour, managed to start engine again, just at the workshop, the engine died again. ==> The workshop changed cdi, spark plug and charged me $140.

2) About a week later, after work at about 10pm, I couldn't start my bike. The rain has just stopped probably one hour ago at that time. I left it in office overnight, and in the morning it worked fine again.

3) Last Sunday I was riding on a highway, and it started raining. The engine died in the middle of the road while I was riding at a speed of around 50km/h. I managed to slowly move it to the side, waited for more than an hour, the engine worked again. I moved it to same workshop on Monday, and they changed the spark plug head and don't know what else, charged me $30.

4) Just now was riding at Lower Delta Road and it started raining. Engine gave way just 4 minutes after rain has just started. It wasn't as heavy as Sunday, but still my SP gave way.

I am really unhappy with the workshop as I suspect they just don't know their stuffs yet they changed many unnecessary things and chopped me into pieces. But that's fine, it's another story. Most importantly I want to know if there is anyone here encountered the same problem before? Please advise me as I am totally lost. Feel so depressed.

Thong Sheng Motors, just a workshop somewhere near where I stay and work. I will look for another one but would like to argue if I could get back partial of the money I have paid since they have not fixed any problem at all...

Hi,

I have some questions I hope bros and sis here can enlighten me, Sorry for being a noob.

Anyone just renewed their COE? My FT plate SP is expiring this Jun. What I am interested in knowing is the following:

1) Will they send a letter of notification to the registered owner's address say... 1 month before hand? This is because my parents forbid me from riding and I have been hiding since day 1 i got my 2b. Not intending to find out through the hard way.

2) Is there a difference between bidding for a COE and renewing COE? Since bidding is asking for a new number. They are both afterall just quotas right? So it should be the same? Please correct me if i am wrong.

3) What are the chances of winning during a renewal at COE? I have read from OneMotoring that there is 2 biddings every month.

4) Related to the 2nd question, if the chances are low, does that mean i have to start bidding soon? Or else if I do not win before my COE expires does that mean I have to straight away de-register my bike? :(

5) If possible can anybody go through in summary your process of renewing COE?

Your help is greatly appreciated!!

Thanks and once again I do sincerely apologize for taking your time to read and helping me out here

Okok just say a normal cloth also work. To prevent water leak into ur tank on rainy day i suggest u open ur fuel cap. You will see gap(or hole) at the side of ur fuel cap tank. Stuff cloth in it. At the side.

Thanks bro. Will consider that if problem still occurs. Problem is going to AMK is far, and I have to apply leave then in that case.

OK bro, I will try to do it. Thanks for your advice. I hope it works. And I hope I can ask for some refund from the shop and give it to you if your solution works, lol..

changing plugs only last you for awhile. unable to start maybe your plugs are wet. wet maybe as in running too rich or water go into plug through your cap, change a new plug cap, these 2 cos your plug to be wet & no sparks, so stall. provided it only happen during rain. when the mech took out the plug, did you see whats the color of the plug tip? color shows how your bike is tuned. your plug cable can loose contact with the plug cap if the mech pull too hard to open up. once loose, electric cant pass, your plug wont spark so good. Well explained. It sounds like what the shop explained to me.

They don't sound Anyway, just an update, I think it is solved now. This afternoon it was raining, so I quickly made a call to workshop, who claimed the bike was fixed over the phone, and requested them for a test run. They refused initially, so I made my way to workshop immediately. My bike was gone when I reached, as a crew took it for a test. He came back after 15 mins on the bike (I thought he should be pushing it). I took it for a ride then, went home, went to work under heavy rain. Problem seems to have been fixed.

Good news is the workshop didn't charge me any this time, not even the towing fee. Bad news is I don't know if previously spent $170 is a necessary expense or not, and I don't know what they have done this time round. I do feel that there is a different feeling when I turn my key, so I think they have done something with the key slot.
