hmm..interestingly, i had the same specs for tires during the time i rode my sp,

problem is i couldnt see the tail-lights of many SPs who was out wif me trying their top on 2nd link(no offence to my friends who rode wif me on many occasions)...

i would admit i m not a gd or safe rider for reaching the top of 190km/h on the speedo so soon

My point here is the bike as it is has been capable of such performance, and i dun see how now that after 2 months, the same tires could be a hindrance to performance(once again, i dun mean any offence to anyone)

Wider tires means more contact area wif the road thus producing extra friction or drags..Wonder why some ppl go for smaller tires + small rear sprocks?

And wider size tires doesnt mean cornering would be better.. :cheer:

hey ppl, is K&N air filter legalised to be put on SP? and wad's the use of it? sorry noob here. How much will it cost?

Pls don waste u $$$. Filter is legal, use this filter is for pickup more better & the sound more nice. But it cannot filter the dust so clean then stock, pickup is gd but the power for behind no gd use more petrol to ride low mileage... :nono:

hehe...chrome?

as in using chrome paint? how much did u buy such paint?

Just use paint remove to remove the paint on the place u wan make chrome, after that use some tool remove the paint & wash it. In the end just use autosol to chrome the place u remove the paint. Cos sport rims all are aluminium, after the polish chrome color will very beautyful... :thumb:

need 2 take out e tires or shld i say wheel ?

No need to take out tire & rims... :cheeky:

haha, i totally understand that logic and in fact i actually conveyed this same words to my frens as well...

of cos stock size tires for SP is great and optimum, i totally agree :thumb:

what i m actually saying is that with such extra big size tires the bike aredi can attain such performance, to change it back to the smaller stock tires will definitely be better rite?

But the point here is the tires size is jus one of the many factors, and since with these bigger sized tires, it can aredi perform relatively gd pick-up and reach a stock top of 190km/h on sp speedo, the mech should look into other factors before concluding that the tires is the ONLY problem...

In short i m saying, likelihood is the mech has overlooked the fact that the settings might have run off after the bike is being drop a few times when he suggested that tires is the only problem, cos there are other factors he has yet to look into

haha, hope you guys understand what i m saying, and sorry for being so long winded

dun think so... mine dun eat much petrol... but better then opening air box... more slience then opening air box... but but to filter the dust i do agree...it got use if u put the sponge inside the air box... it balace pick up n end power... but better waste money on it... unless u going to ride long

hi there, been on several outings wif you when i was still on sp and using my super big tires, was riding the stock FT plate sp with fully original paintwork, wad do u tink of my pick-up and top speed at that time? haha, dunno if u rem me

wider tires is definitely not recommended as its much heavier and also bigger contact area and hence more friction, hmm but i was jus wondering if in your opinion does it seemed like it was seriously affecting my pick-up at that time? :cheeky:
