haha, nahz, theres no flame war at all, it was jus a frenly discussion...

but actually if u do rem, i already brought to ur attention that the rear tyre is much bigger than stock size... and i did advise a change of tire to stock or even smaller size if u do have spare cash(even though the tires did not pose an immediate serious problem to pick-up or speed or a high risk of skidding)

i jus felt that the mech's emphasis on tires as the main problem to the pick-up is perhaps alittle overstated...

Rem the day when we did the transaction and i pillioned u back to ur house?

i felt there and then that even wif both our weights, there wasnt a problem wif the pick-up or speed. Moreover at a couple of traffic lights, i did hard braking jus to demo the brakes/pads and tires are capable of braking effectively.

And btw, as told to u before also...the day before our transaction, i brought the bike to Combine Motors for fully syn EO change and checking, the boss ah kiong says theres no problem wif the bike's pick-up or the braking...

So mabbe u might wish to get a 2nd opinion as to pin-point ur current problem of weak pick-up before u pump in money to change things that are not as crucial.

hmm...jus my opinions, haha, others pls do feel free to chip in with helpful suggestions. i believe the objective of posting here is for all to get help and provide help to others using the most cost effective methods(without compromising safety of cos).

can ask enotosl and jhong i keep asking them anti-clockwise or clock-wise.. i am such a blur c***... :giddy: :giddy:

hmm...it could be "xin li zuo yong", on the other hand it can also be abit true...cos sp if not used/started frequently may actually make the carbs problematic esp when the fuel flood it and turn stale...

moreover, when u drop ur bike, things like ur brake alignment, handlebar and carb settings, and other settings could have run off...

all these are possibilites that could have happened cos of the bike drop

so try getting few credible mechs to check out ur bike and see if their suggestions match, also do rem to run the engine daily if possible to ensure all ur parts are working well

Hi ppl! just discovered my newly bought second hand bike previous owner actually removed air filter. I got it replaced at the workshop, but did not notice then, that the idle speed actually dropped about 100-200 rpm, so now kickstart in the morning very difficult - have to hold throttle open slightly to make sure it runs, but not too much that the engine flood and die.

how to adjust the idle? i notice a yellow screw that is visible from the right side. Is that it?

Help please.

yup the yellow knob is the idling...tune it clockwise to increase idling and anti-clockwise to reduce :cheeky:
