Guys just want to share my experience with you all during my recent trip to JB.

Me and my friends were riding to KSL mall, 4 person on 2 bikes. So from tebrau market there, I was suppose to meet my friend at KSL carpark lobby there. My friend together with his pillion rode in first, then me and my pillion was about to turn into KSL carpark entrance when this security guard signal me to not turn in and ask me to park at another entrance. Now this entrance is just opposite the one that i wan to turn into, but this entrance is still under construction and its very dark inside. Initially I didnt care and just wanted to continue but he insisted i park there. I was thinking i have been here so many times but not once have i been turned away. So nvm i thought now new rule. So i turn to the dark corner but i was scared later someone would steal my bike, so I park on the outside of the entrance because when i go in its completely empty, meaning not in operation. and also i see quite a few suspicious malay and indian people keep on looking at my bike. But i brush it off thinking that not so easy to steal. But when i alighted from my bike, the security guard came to me ask me to park behind one SUV. The SUV is near the entrance there. But i was thinking "wtf place so big ask me to park BEHIND the SUV". then nvm i follow first. Me and my friends we alight from bike. then he tell me something fishy. so we stop outside awhile to access the situation. Then I saw one malay guy about 40 plus. coming out to "see see". He is very suspicous like looking out for something. Then I think its enough surely something going on. Then i faster go back to my bike and ride off.

Come to think of it, Im even so stupid to park behind the SUV.

Just to share my experience with you guys, on that day my bike could get stolen if i never stay to access the situation, Thanks to my friend also he quite smart. Im dumb.

My bike is not superbike worth 10k 20k type. but its a new CBR 150 that can sell at least 6k i guess. Please dont flame me just wan to share with you all

Cheers!

Sounds like a scary experience for you.....maybe the security guard also part of a syndicate? Who knows....what i can advise u is try not to ride to jb as your bike is still a new model, hard to see any malaysians riding a cbr150...so my guess is they might be targetting your bike. :shades:

As long as in JB, no such thing as a safe place to park. Best to keep your bike within sight...

my friend said if a bike is parked not within sights in jb, it would be gone in 45 seconds.

When I was riding my GSXR400RR bike and parked at the basement carpark of City Square JB, the ignition keyhole got tampered with even though I parked near to the manned booth of the carpark. Luckily for me, the idiot thief couldn't steal the bike. Unluckily, the ignition hole got tampered so badly that my key couldn't start the bike...

i think that the most common way bike got stolen. insert a hard object to break the pins in the lock cylinder. it as fast as using a key and only need a small tools which is easy to hide.

protecting yourself from such attack might save your bike. not all thief carry big bolt cutter / grinder, pick complicated lock or drive a vehical to carry away your bike.

gald your bike still with you.
