normally they would recommand to service n tune. then from there, u just ride on. no need to every now n then service the carb. mayb once a year will do.

 

like i said, high FC have many causes. its hard to know the actual cause.

bro , to ease all ur worries, if ur pocket allows, service ur bike up once and for all and then maintain from there.............

 

or else, troubleshoot one at a time, if FC improves tremendously after u rectified something, then that something would have been the cause of the prob ...this is a way most bros here would chose as it's easier on the pocket and u can pinpoint the prob ...

 

aft ur bike bcomes normal again, monitor ur FC. i monitor mine with every single tank . i record down the amount i pump and the mileage obtaind on the odometer...so in the long run , if u fc suddenly becomes very high, u will know smtg is very wrong .

who knows ur carb using dyno jet or kenso... wahh i just put dyno jet drink petrol sia... now left 2 bar km done is only 230... SIANZ.... the most can go up to 270 to 280... wad i feel huh open vtec and dont open doesnt make much of a different... its is mainly ur jetting setting... when my bike running on stock condition open vtec or seldom open still total mileage clock around 320... if there is a diff also will be a slight 1... not as if 30 km or 40 km diff... some times ur carb the float ahh there is a pin ahh wears off then when idling ur carb might over flow.... increase in fc? ... Go KnT ask clifford to tune ... anything wrong with ur bike he will tell u but he doesnt force u to change... nice guy...

We must also take into consideration the petrol we pump... I never pump anything below 98 and always use caltex platinum.. My best was 300km then blink.. Conservative riding also, seldom open vtec and always tumpang my gal from east to west..

when u tumpang ur gf, there is more load so FC will b slightly higher. if u just ride urself, i think u can exceed 300km then blink.

 

caltex platimuim, :thumb:. give a very quiet ride... sliver actually ok just that the engine makes alot of noise. :sweat: for me, i choose gold n sliver. sometimes will top platinium. :smile:

yah , i think something not right for your bike .

 

my bike travelled approx 300km before the bar started to blink. The longest distance i have travel before the fuel almost run out is ard 367km .

 

average Fc is 21-23km / l for my bike .

280km really very bad.... mine with dyno jet kit and full system still going strong and 280km left with 1 bar i think can hit 300... hopefully can hit 300... try using iridium spark plug better combustion means better f.c .. just pay abit more and can help u in the long run =) :cheer:

That is only available in Malaysia right.. So far i had the most satisfying rides from pumping Mobil8000 and Caltex platinum.. V-power i dun quite like, cos dun feel any smoothness for my bike..

WOots 320km then reach reserved with dyno jet kit and full system... quite often open vtec.....

16 litres main tank 3 litres reserved if not wrong...

can i ask someting...y mine fuel indicator flash ard 240+km n i only pump in ard

12+ lit nia...any pro wif my indicator?n first bar drop ard 70+km

Recently managed to get 360km upon reaching blinking reserve.

 

I believe I could squeeze some more mileage if with better riding style, change of rear sprocket and spark plugs.

erm 2 things that can make ur fuel meter blink... 1 is ur bike at side stand... the other 1 is u suddenly pick up very fast then it blink.. wanna get best measurement is put ur bike straight and wait for few mins... it will increase

erm any1 noe's spec1 full tank how many L ?????

 

btw mine FC 18km/L....... (no open vtec)

tried downgrade mine petrol frm v-pwr to 98, change EO, put dunno wat magnet(to increase mileage), pwr abuser 2 ......still e same =_= when i bought tis bike ower said he juz tune his crub......

dun dare to trust e petrol meter (coz sometimes i start bike, meter shows reserve than after 30sec of ride become 2bar )=_= so i see mileage 200km go pump petrol liaoz .... normally ard 11L.....

i suppose the sensor of the fuel meter (for digital ones) are at the front and center of the tank. so if you put your s4 on side stand the petrol level becomes slanted so the reading goes off. if you wack the throttle all the petrol flies to the back your meter drops one bar too. or sometimes when you brake and go downslope the meter adds one bar back too.

 

so the fuel gauge is buay zhun one. best is to know how much your fuel consumption and then estimate from there.

setting carb got two things 1 is they just syn and done... another type is they open ur carb set the jetting and all the stupid craps things which i donno... sometimes ur float in ur carb the jetting might worn out and that will increase fuel comsumption... previous owner say he tune ? some more u using aftermarket pipe u know fc might increase also...
