Looks as if it snapped because of a great deal of force....but then, might have just been brittle....

I think it should be wear and tear. I start to notice the seat tend to slump one side for the past few weeks. I thought it was due to some loose screw until it snapped today. Maybe it just happen I got a bad batch.

Hi guys, anyone got any idea now is there any bike shop had first hand gts200?

Make Riding A Fun & Good Experience

Set Your Limit For Riding

Posted

Hi guys,

Need some advice here.

Recently my gts can't start. And I done the following steps

1) change new batt. (Still can't start)

2) change new spark plug ( starts up at first try)

3) following day. Can't start again ( change new spark plug, (starts up)

4) bring bike to shop ( wash carb, saying water might entercarb)

5) next day, won't start again. (Take plug out and wipe.starts fine)

6) bring to another shop at ubi. Saying that high chance enter engine ( might need top overhaul) if lucky just change header for sg800 plus)

Any fellow riders met which the same situation before?

If you have experience with jb MMforce, pls kindly share with me , as I'm thinking of riding there for the possible top overhaul. Rough price, lead time, what to look out for or suggestions are welcome.

Throw in your thoughts.

ride safe,

Dom

If u want MForce is good,no chop carrot. If engine work need to leave bike there for 2 days.

Seems like water enter ur engine.tts why plug foul and den u change or wipe ur plug can start first. But be riding it might be dangerous as after a while plug can foul while on the run. Some time no need top over haul, might be issues with water pump, clogged on coolant flow problems,Or gasket leakage.

Check your EO dipstick, see if its foamy or watery brown,if so can be gasket leakage.simple fix but quite abit of work.

Header no need $800,max is around $400-500.

If full overhaul @MFORCE is S$550+,according to Mforce part list. Not including eo and coolant. But way cheaper than doing here.

If u need the top head, lemme noe i have a spare.

replaced my spark plug with CR8EIX today.

when i took out the old plug, i was a bit shock. it was a Denso plug with code U20EPR9. Upon some searching, i realize the plug is for Honda Wave with NGK equivalent CPR6EA.

compare the CR8E with CPR6EA, the 2 plugs was totally not suitable. it a hotter plug with projected insulator type style spark plug.

piss off with these mechanic that have no real knowledge of what they are doing and risk damaging their customer bike. will not go back to the shop again.

it is important to have some knowledge of your bike to prevent such thing from happening. too bad i am not the first owner.
