If you are talking about GEN2 FZ6, yes, the front is not adjustable.

 

But GEN2 FZ1 front is adjustable (Preload, Compression and Damping)

 

Lucky for my weight, I even have to soften the suspensions to get a less bumpier ride...But I would say the rear shock still sucked

 

Gen1 has adjustable forks? I did not know that. Don't think Gen2i s adjustable. Only the rear has compression and rebound but dats normal.

 

quite a few actually.. not potholes but uneven roads. Quite bumpy. i go over them everyday during my mini tour ride.

you can do what the book say (think is 1000km) or you can do 800km X3 with mineral oil before switching to semi or full syn oil. But do follow and dont exceed the maximum run in rpm.

 

or you can do hard run in...ride it like you have just stolen the bike

For me, I a bit kiasu,

 

changed oil & filter @ 500km

Change oil (still mineral) @ 1200km

Change oil (Fully Syn) @ 2000km

hehe.. didn't say I didn't know how, just dat I didn't know it cud be done like a sportbike. Guess I gotta do bit o research!(or just send it to bikelab )

Juz to add , the adjusters on either fork adjusts a different setting . Forgot which fork leg adjusts the damping , which one adjusts the rebound n preload .

 

Which is y until now i dun dare to play wif the settings .

Speaking of suspension, my Gen 1 FZS1000's setting seems too hard. Go over bumps, seems that the rear does not damp up the shock, instead the bike bump instead.
