Hi all...I just bought a fazer.

Besides the usual engine oil and spark plug change, are there any other stuff i shld take note of?

Errr, this may sound silly, but where is the coolant located?? I'd like to check the level..but dunno what exactly to open.

Would appreciate any response. Thanks in advance!

anyone have problem with the fz6 front fork? kinda irritated as its very very soft... and non adjustable at all... anyone did something to it?

Change to aftermarket springs and better fork oils.Cost for springs is $200,fork oil and servicing ard $120-$170.

Alot shops can do,HKL,m-technic,bikelab,etc.

Past rides are already history....

so u guys only change the spring and oil huh??? okay...

you should already feel the difference with a change of progressive spring.

Playing with the level of oil will also make a lot of difference.

Of course if you want to make it better, you got to change the valve and all, damage is around $600 plus.

Maybe y0s_bikey looking into top range fork replacements like ohlins...for this, easily cost more than $3k,if you are really into the sports...

I agree with maxxmadness, you will feel diff by just playing with the level of oil and just add spacer...

erm.. but with our front not adjustable.. if you play with the oil n springs and set it for track, wudn't it be a bit too hard for normal road? Den need to go back to shop and re-adjust back?

By just playing with oil and springs,it will be better to ride.If u really serious into track, then get ready to throw in some money for it.If just for occasionally tracks fun with friends,I think its good enough and you will not feel the diff between roads and track...

i am not sure about the gen2 but the gen1 has adjustment available.

i prefer the adjustment to be on the hard side...anyway how many potholes are there in singapore?

Gen1 has adjustable forks? I did not know that. Don't think Gen2i s adjustable. Only the rear has compression and rebound but dats normal.

quite a few actually.. not potholes but uneven roads. Quite bumpy. i go over them everyday during my mini tour ride.
