I bought a 07 FZ6S2 last Dec and sent it to Bikelab for new fork sprinvs and new oil. They also lowered the fork into the triple clamp by 10mm. Now the bike felt different. Its easier to turn with no sacrifice on stability on straights. Of course it will be good to do both forks and shocks. I know one owner locally who has both Ohlins fork springs and shocks. That package comes close to $2000. I did my fork at BL for only $300 i think because it included new springs, fork overhaul and new oils. Its worth it.

I suppose u are on traxxion fork springs as shown in your signature. Are the springs progressive or linear?? Also what was the lead time for the springs or did BL have ready stock?

I did not ask Joshua if its linear or progressive because i trust his selection. And yes, he had stock at that time. The bike now tracks better, its easier to turn and much reduced front end diving when braking. I also added fork brace and fork skins. The front end feels alot more planted now.

High chance the traxxion springs are linear ones.. so as the Ohlins that Sporting brings in..

We will be leaving very early on Fri (28th May) Morning, so all WW need to make arrangements. This is over a LONG WEEKEND, no need to take leave!!!

 

Riding to Ipoh>>>>Gerik>>>>Cameron Highlands>>>>SGP

 

Estimated GP-Ipoh is 530km (Day 1), Ipoh-Gerik-GuaMusang-Cameron is 480km (Day 2), Cameron-GP is 600km (Day 3).

 

I just wanted everyone to know that this ride will be a decent long ride. And if you have nothing to do, we will love to have you with us.

 

Everyone who went for the Kuala Klwang one will understand that, that is nice but not as EPIC as this ............

Also got quote from BL, springs are custom made (from Europe as quoted by BL).No brand and ready stocks available. The traxxion ones are way too expensive..springs cost more than ohlins (what a surprise)

 

So i am undecided over the BL's custom made ones or ohlins front fork spring. The diff in price is probably abt $60 with BL being slightly cheaper.

traxxion springs will be dynoed to your weight.. But think BL sells them at a premium.. I would rather order direct from Traxxion Dynamix in US directly.. Lee would be the person to talk to.. Else speak to Dylan of Sporting.. The springs you'll be getting will the suited to your weight.. And chances are they may have stock.. And it'll be hard to beat the assurance of getting it directly from the distributor..

 

I did my front at sporting and mengtong setup my sag and balanced my bike.. Felt good after that though I didn't really push it.. Just my 2 cents..
