wah. and charles and I supposed to share it ah? nvm at most marchesini he take.. brembo calipers i take.. provided my bike can fit. my last 2 pm to you also no reply from you..

Rat bike - A motorcycle not necessarily kept in pristine condition, often painted matt black. Minimal maintenance and mismatched parts often used.

Patient: Yamaha FZ1S Fazer 2009

Age:

Symptoms: Stuttering engine at low RPM below 3000.

Hospital: Planet Motorcycle

Doctor in attendance: Dr Chong

Diagnosis: Faulty Ignition Coil No.4

Medical Bills: $98

Follow up review: Last seen revving its way around Singapore.

Is that a gen2 plug cap or coil? Or is it integrated? Sure looks more high tech then the plug cap and coil on my gen1.

It's a Gen 2 ignition coil, probably we call it plug cap. :)

Looks high tech, but the price also high tech. :(

2 common irritating faults for FZ1 Gen2, faulty ignition coils & Kinked fuel hoses:puke: ...other than that,It's all good!:thumb:

Anyone here bought & installed Ivan's FCE, Ivan's Flies & PCIII from him? When i google i can't find the selling price of his items, not even the FZ1OA forum. I found it at Ebay, but the products are from UK source. I would like to have feedback from our local riders the difficulty they encounter in the installation & riding experience before i call Ivan for enquiries. I would want to DIY as shown in Copperdawg tutorial.

 

PS - i am very aware that the FCE is a must for 06' & 07' model.

Add the TPS to the list too. Yamaha is just full of them... LOL.

 

And if you're a 06 & 07 model..... throw in the frame weld crack just for laffs :p

TBH, the revised ECU hasn't really gotten rid of the fuel cut-off. It's sort of a 'green' feature so that the bike will pass emissions. So having an Ivan's would be good.

 

That said, I'm also considering the FCE, if I can find one used off a bike that's about to be sold.

ya no.4 plug always got this problem, i guess its at the outboard n somehow water may slip in, changed mine once in my 100,000km of riding :)

Whee! Got mail from fehling. Once the transfer is done, another 3 more weeks for the bars to get here.

 

The euro is strong, so this is probably not the best deal i can get. But the germans are so entertaining and gracious.

Now using ipone. 5-10deg cooler makes a hell of diff.

there's IPONE coolant? is it better than engine ice? what is the cost difference? :D

i going to change my coolant too... but i'll change to maxima coolaide... diy style... :D prefer pinkish colors... :angel:

 

Haha. I'm using maxima coolant currently as well. Oh ya, want to check with you, after riding when i check my coolant level it's always at the minimum level or slightly lower. Is it normal or do i have to top up my coolant? :)
