It's not how fast you ride, but how well you ride.

@BottleCap i heard e tenere FC is ard 24km/l and got a full tank capacity of 22l excl reserve..is dat true? if u travel above 160km/h will ur bike be hard to handle alrdy?

23 Litre tank. Average 22km/Litre while running in. After running should be better.

Hmm still running in. My max was 130 and was very stable and I can't talk to my wife on nsh and very relax. No wind blast n powerful. Nice bike haha.

Hi guys. Wanna ask what tyre would be recommended for my FZ1. I'm actually looking at a few and they are namely:

1. Michelin Pilot Power 2CT

2. Mchelin Pilot Road 2CT

3. Pirelli Angle St

4. Pirelli Rosso or Diablo Supercorsa SP

E 4th option would be a little overkill. However I'm looking at something that will allow me to corner without worries. Any idea how's e mileage of e Pirelli tyres?

Pls do offer your 2 cents view ya. Thanks all.

about airbox mod.

Yes, the Airbox Mod .

I have lived with this mod for about 2 weeks, and to be honest, as soon as I get a few spare moments I am going to order a new Airbox Cover and bring it back to OEM.

I jumped in a bit to enthusiastically at this mod as I have had my bike for 3 years with no mods, so when I ran across and joined the forum, I felt like a kid in a Candy Store .

I enjoyed the novelty of the Airbox Mod for the first couple of days, but,

- after reading other comments, Wavex's insightful comments in particular (See additional Airbox Mod Threads for more on these),

- lifting the tank and removing the airbox to do bd43's headlight mod, and seeing the beating that my airfilter has been taking,

- and, growing tired of the new sound and feel of my bike.

I have decided to return my air intake system to the carefully thought out and engineered specs originally utilized by the fine engineers at Yamaha.

For all of those with the mod, I am sorry for defecting, I appreciate the How To on this, I am a firm believer in modding, but this one just isn't working for me.

Lesson learned: Put a little more thought and research into the mods that I am going to make in the future .

there's a silver colour bottle available for sale at diy shop that could remove rust. not cheap though, more than $10.

pirelli rosso and diablo SC would be overkill for normal roads especially if you dont hit the tracks, the tyres would be an absolute waste. i used my pirelli dragon sc for 1 year and its botak already.

it depends on your budget though..

depending on how you ride, but a good gauge will be 12-18mths per interval..

but FZ1 stock rear shock not advisable to service.. rather change to aftermarket like bitubo, etc..

did mine at mezzo, 190 for front, 230 for rear.. and if you do choose to do both at the same time, pricing will be cheaper..

package includes OEM seals, o-rings, and dust cover.. as well as new dose of oil, spec-ed to your riding style and preferences.

I serviced my rear shock for 340 dolls at sporting motors. This includes changing the spring to a higher rated spring, mind you.

hi guys..i just came back from a trip and currently facing a problem wif my fazer6.

its kinda hard to change gear and kinda rough while kicking up the gear lever.

i already change my EO bt it doesnt rectify the problem.

the rear sprockets seems fine and the teeth doesnt show any sign of wear and tear and the chain does nt require to be tighten.

Bt the problem is that, this problem seems to come and go and when i adjust the biting point to be further away it manage to rectify the problem bt

the problem will come again later.

is this due to the clutch plate or front sprocket teeth getting sharper.?

any suggestion would be great before i head down to bikeshop.

Hi

i am not too well read about tyres, especially sports touring like your 1st 3 choices.. but the i guess it boils down to your budget.

heard 2 sides of pilot power 2ct on track though. 1 uses it and find it ok, another 2 used it and.. yup the tyre didnt perform as they thought it could and spent quite an amount repairing their bikes. i guess on road and some hard riding it would be sufficient.

quite a number of riders here use pilot road 2 and they enjoyed using it, especially those that go touring often.

for pirelli angel, havent read or heard any reviews of it. especially when i dont go searching for reviews on it.

all the best! i am also going to change my tyres soon!
