Since you are already aware of the cons if I were you I would just remove it. Rather it rust then try to remove the rust than rust and keep it under wraps until a worse state.

Rat bike - A motorcycle not necessarily kept in pristine condition, often painted matt black. Minimal maintenance and mismatched parts often used.

yea im skeptical about their benefits and aware of their cons too. but the problem im facing now is that this bike that im planning to get has the wraps on. If the headers have not rusted yet i can just remove the wraps but i cant tell whether rust has already occurred with the wraps on

 

The wraps are typically fibreglass kind of 'cloth', right?

The main function seems to be a sort of covering so that you wont get burnt by the exhaust.

IMHO, the wrap looks crap on the bike man...

 

If your exhaust are rusted, you can try using the Meguiar's Metal Polish. I used it on my FZ1 headers and the results are great. :D

haha thanks alot guys. I guess my main concern is whether the wraps on this bike cover up and damage/rust to the headers already. would be kinda f up if i buy the bike and unwrap the headers and find them in terrible condition.

just ask the seller to unwrap n take a look at urself. if it rusts, at least there is a point to bring the price down then u remove it with the mcguires....

Most shops would be able to do de-cat.. Price range shuld.be ard 80..

Hi, anyone can recommand me where to buy new battery for my FZ6S2 yr 2007?

Recently my voltmeter indicate 11.5v but cannot start, therefore i recon the battery for 8hrs and able to start the bike indicate at 11.6 ~ 11.9v. Need to buy the battery for backup.

after 2 rounds of re-map...i give up...improvements of up to 2km/l only...

max before reserve 230 best so far...now i just ride don think liao...

ard 15k km on the odo only..

What are things you have installed on your bike?

mines from LAB...cost around $70 1 year plus ago? im surprise about the longevity of the cheong batt cause i gave it 4months at most:cheeky:..still using it and shows no signs of degrading...just ensure its fully charged the 1st time before using...i forgot the model number :sian:...need to pop up the tank and see...

mine no mapping oso but getting around 240km b4 reserve n getting around 16+km/l......if not throttle happy la...

 

 

after 2 rounds of re-map...i give up...improvements of up to 2km/l only...

max before reserve 230 best so far...now i just ride don think liao...

haha...bike feels like someone stuffed a banana up my exhaust when I removed my Arrow and put on the stock haha... but it still can power wheelie on 1st:).

 

ok la... as long it's not u stuff ur own banana up into your exhaust can le... :angel:
