just the quick release screw came off.

ride too slow till the thing vibrate and fly to dont know where after 2nd link run...

now using lock nut and 8mm scew to hold it in place..

bro, if u r not intending to alws keep taking out the rack, might as well suggest you to change all those joints into stainless steel screws & lock nuts.. it's better than using those quick release screws.. :)

thanks. cos i went to some shops in bukit merah and they said they dont bring in ABS versions for FZ8s, only FZ1s. though nowdays alot of FZ8s on the road. popularity really catching up. lol

btw how much is insurance for a guy like me, 27 yrs old ++

Hi, for fz8 abs i noe hong leong confirm ve. But whether in stock is a question. Last i check in march fz1-s was 22.5k and fz8-s was roughly minus 1.5k.

Insurance better u just call up for a quotation. But I'm 31 with fz1-s (2007) and 20% ncd. 3rd fire and theft is $800.

I'm 27 with FZ1-S (2010) and 15% NCD, TPFT cost $830 with Chartis (renewed 1.5mths ago).

Sending my fazer to Hong Leong for valve clearance on 16th May..i think i overshot the recommended mileage by about 7000km..not so bad right?

So your mileage is ~47000 km now?

i'm at around 56k km of mileage now.. i haven sent my bike for valve clearance.. :)

FZ1-S owner's manual stated to check valve clearance & adjust (every 40000 km).

So I guess pichudot's ideal is 60k km.

I was just reading e owner's manual. Didnt see this figure. E section under valve clearance only told me to look up e periodic maintainence table. Then after search e booklet for e table, cant find. Lol

So if manual states 30000km as min, wat is ur opinion on ideal? Thanks

Edit: after posting this i cheked once mre and found it. I states 40000km in my manual. I'm riding fz1 2007

ask u all, any idea why my front tyre wear off faster on the right side? does the theory of left hand drive wears the right side tyre more due to more mileage? for car i can understand about the camber theory but bike?

When i did mine valve clearance @ 78k, only 1 exhaust out of spec.... the rest still within spec. So i guess if you do it @ 40k, is like waste of money to check.

Do it @ 80/100k might be a wiser choice.

Hi bros! I was wondering if ur fc is like mine at 13km/L? Im having a bmc air filter, stock airbox. Cat gutted. Gp style. Pc3; not sure what mapping. I think its the previous owner mapping for his 07. Im riding 10. May i know its norm for my mods? I think abit on a high fc. Constant rising at 100. Sometimes only itchy finger..

And yes i would like to know why my front tire wear out right side only? Its stock dunlop still. Or its norm for right hand side to go 1st? Thank i guys. Hope u all can help me out.

Im loving every moment with my LV.
